Charming, Rustic Wedding

Today is going to be a blast. We have at least one, hopefully two completely beautiful real weddings. An engagement shoot that is pure perfection and a giveaway that is going to make you jump out of your chair and do a high kick. Yep, it’s that good!

First up, though…the incredibly charming real wedding of Holly and Nathan that the always fabulous Kate Mefford photographed. First up, the adorable couple and the FABULOUS details!

This wedding is ALL about the charm. Complete, unabashed charm. Here is Holly to share a little bit of her vision with you…

I chose the colors brown/orange/green b/c my favorite thing to collect is antique Hall China in the pattern Autumn Leaf.  Being that the pattern is primarly orange/brown I needed a “Spring” color to freshen it up..so the green was brought in.  I wanted to make sure what makes me “me” was in the wedding…a girl who loves margaritas, her grannies hankies, and flea market finds!

I just asked Nathan what he thought since this has been all about me me me…and he said it really felt like “US” and he loved that is was a unique wedding.  He said there was “Nothing we HAD to do…everything about our wedding was what we WANTED to do”.

So, so cute. We are actually really lucky today because not only do we have the lovely bride to share her thoughts, we also have Kate Mefford, the photographer and next up, Emily Youngblood, the FAB planner behind the day!

From Emily…

From my first visit with Holly at her parents’ gorgeous home and property, I knew every part of this wedding would be FANTASTIC and the most perfect reflection of this  fun and talented couple- I was right!  There were so many details to absorb as a guest- but most of all, it was the couple that made this wedding so perfect! Although their wedding day saw the heaviest amount of rainfall reported in that area in over a decade that resulted in muddy legs (forget feet!), power outages, and a collapsed tent- they kept smiling and were so obviously in love!!!  However cliché it sounds, I truly cannot say enough about this genuine and grounded couple, their wonderful families, and this picture perfect ceremony and reception! It was truly an honor to be a part of it and one I will never forget!

Where did Holly find it? Please & thank you :)

  6. Holly says:

The shrug is from a designer in Ireland named Bonzie. You can find her on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5104063

    Thx, Holly!

I thought it was a Bonzie! I have one very similar to it (in apple green dupioni silk), and I love mine. Yours was a lovely addition to your wedding ensemble!

You made a gorgeous bride - my best to you and your new hubby :-)

*gasp* That's a Bonzie shrug! I was just looking at them on etsy only yesterday.

What a fab wedding, I'm a fan of burnt-orange and amber tones too.
