Today’s featured Little Black Book photographers, Britney Gardner and Joe Rumore shoot weddings from coast to coast! This one ~ just happened to be in New York City on an unseasonably warm spring day. However, the bride, Melane, didn’t mind the heat one bit … she’s a Texas girl at heart!

She and Ryan asked 30 of their closest friends and family to fly to New York with them to celebrate their marriage in Central Park!
The morning of the wedding, Melane’s bridesmaids were busily putting the flowers together while hair, make-up and the final details were being attended to …

Meanwhile, at Camp Ryan …

… and then the final reveal … that romantic “first look”…

Melane and Ryan headed outside into the hustle and bustle of New York City for a flurry of photos to commemorate the day.

And then onto their final destination … Central Park. But first, a few more pre-wedding shots from Britney and Joe of turn loose the art …

What an unbelievably pretty wedding venue!!

Wow!
And then off ~ in true New York style ~ to an intimate dinner at Sarabeth’s Central Park South.

Britney asked Melane what the best part about the whole day was. She replied, “Saying the vows we wrote to each other … and involving our family and friends in the ceremony. My sister and brother-in-law led us in the traditional vows as we repeated after them and a friend officiated.”

Ryan and Melane’s wedding came in right around $8000 … a perfect example of how to pull-off a budget wedding in high style! Our best wishes to you both!

Thanks SO much to the very talented team at turn loose the art. The front page of their website says, “There is art in your life.” SO true. And these two truly know how to capture it!
{ps … Congrats on the 1st place at the ISPWP contest in the Reception~Dancing category! Personally, though, I loved the Kids Will Be Kids 5th place winner!}

Where did you get those shoes? What brand is that? I love the flip-flop with the pearls - so cute!
i also love the shoes!!!!!!! :)
Fabulous work from Britney and Joe!
Such a beautiful location for the ceremony! Also - I'm a huge fan of the veil! Anyone know where to find it or one similar?
I think those flip flops are from Payless Shoe Source (budget- beautiful!) and the pearl brooches were added by the bride.
I'm loving the cherry blossom background-- so amazing!!! :)
the shoes have the words "montego bay club" written on them -- not sure where Melane purchased them
I have those shoes, from Payless (comfortable!) without the pearl detail.
The bride must have added that later. Smart.
The trees were a lovely canopy to marry under... sweet chic
I love the photos of this wedding, especially the first few detail shots of the flowers. Beautiful!
There is something so romantic about a wedding in the middle of Central Park.
Y'all are right about the shoes. I got them at Payless and added two inexpensive brooches. I purchased the veil at Circle Park Bridal (www.circleparkbridal.com) in Addison, TX, for $35 after seeing it at another salon for over $200. It's a bubble veil. I'm sure they could ship it anywhere. I can't say enough about how wonderful Britney and Joe with the Turn Loose the Art are. I'm so glad I found them. We are so happy with our pictures!!!

Hi Melane. I just wanted to say your wedding was beautiful. It is really funny. I saw this in the very same week that I decided to get married in Central Park. My fiance is from the east coast and we decided we wanted to do things simply after starting to plan the big wedding and changing our minds. When I saw your pictures, I knew we made the right decision. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

I want to know what the turtleneck thing is that you have on. I love it and would like to know where you can buy something like that?
I fell in love with the cherry blossoms this year. Do they appear every year at the same time? How did you get permission to do the ceremony in the park?
