It’s a well known fact that I LOVE all things Smock. Their letterpress is simply beautiful, their designs are jump for joy worthy, their customer service is top notch. In a nutshell, Smock is the the epitome of what great letterpress should be, the reason that I adore all things paper.
And, lucky for us, they just launched three new wedding invitation lines that they are debuting right here on SMP! The first, Dorset, showcases one of their new calligraphy fonts, Smock Spencerian, and uses 1-color letterpress with offset patterning (the stripes). Swoon.

This next one is called Sabion and it just happens to be my fav. As Cynthia, Smock’s invitation guru told me, Sabion is very lady-like and feminine, but ultimately very classic. The creamy pink background is offset with black letterpress featuring gorgeous gold edge painting and a lined envelope.

And last, but certainly not least…Cindrel. This one features the second of Smock’s two calligraphy fonts, Smock Clermont, which is based on the calligraphy of their calligrapher, Debi Zeinert of Blooming Quill. The calligaphy fonts allow them to offer gorgeous calligraphy without any additional calligraphy fee. It’s also shown in 1-color letterpress, which helps to keep it more budget-friendly. Cindrel was actually inspired by a wrought iron fence that their FABULOUS designer, Amy Graham Stigler, stumbled upon one day. LOVE.

Pretty gorgeous right? Well, the loveliness doesn’t stop there. Smock also carries Thank You Notes, Party Invitations, Gift Wrap and so, so, so much more. Stay tuned to hear the fabulous giveaway we are doing with them in just a bit!
I love the Sabion, the texture is phenomenal, and even though it's sweet, delicate and feminine, it's not overdone. It would be fantastic for a vintage wedding.
I am in love with the Cindrel. The font is beautiful and I just love the inside of the envelope. So pretty!!
I love the Cindrel! if it were a different color it would totally fit my wedding!
I love the Sabion. So classic and simple.
I absolutely love Sabion! The contrast between the feminine dots and strong lines on the envelope liner is a wonderful mix!
I love the Dorset. The striping is just enough to give it that classic look. Yet, at the same time, it can be done with a more casual, nantucket style wedding. Something about it just has that preppy, beach feel to it. I can see the invitations going out to a New England or even Charleston wedding, and paired with some lovely yellows in the mix.
I actually like Spock - this invitation would be wonderful for a vintage inspired wedding.
Cindrel! Absolutely stunning!! So sophisticated with a whimsical twist, I just love it!
Sabion is my favorite. I love how the blush pink contrasts with the black and the envelope liners give it a fun twist.
The Cindrel is my favorite. I love the fun little flourish and the calligraphy font, which gives the invitation a warm, handmade feel. I am also a big fan of the deep purple, which would be my first choice for a wedding color if I were getting married in the fall or winter.
I love the Dorset - they remind me of the sheets my fiance had when we first started dating!
Cindrel is my favorite! Design is elegant and refined but also adds a style touch. Very traditional and classic.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dorset! For a girl like me, getting married in the south (and who lived and met her fiance in New Orleans), the appearance of seersucker has true meaning and brings enormous comfort. To me, the Dorset says that this will be a wedding of true love, romance and hospitality - that no guest would want to miss!
cindrel upon opening this invite it would make you smile and feel so loved. the interior envelope pattern is stunning!
For me it is close between the Dorset and Sabion but Sabion wins out with its rounded edges and Kate Spade-like feel.
I love the Cindrel! It is unique, elegant, and simple. Exactly what I think a wedding invitation should be!
They are all horribly awful looking. Snow & Graham was so much cuter. Is ugly in now?
They're all great, but I'll have to go with Dorset.
Dorset! I adore the elegant vertical (!!) stripes paired with whimsical calligraphy... and the envelope lining is fantastic too!
Cindrel is wonderful - the type is gorgeous! I absolutely love anything letterpressed though, and there isn't much available where I live.
Cindrel! Oh my gosh it is GORGEOUS!
I love Cindrel. Elegant and fun.
I heart the Cindrel! Love the color and the style is simple yet unique. LOVE it!
Cindrel. For the gal looking for budget-friendly, tidy but fun! The striped envelope suprise reminds your guests that your event is not thaaat serious.
apologies. I meant Sabion ;)
Cynthia,
Sabion is my favorite new design. The sweet details of the dot-border on the invitation and striped envelope liners are just lovely! The font combination you chose is also fantastic. This invitation suite has a bit of French/Parisian flair, which would be a great option for a couple looking for "traditional" wedding stationary with a little something different. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us - you have inspired a few ideas I can incorporate into my upcoming wedding!
Anyone who knows me knows I love, love (did I mention LOVE?) stripes and the pale color is so femininine and breezy that I am all for Dorset. What a cute collection!
Sabion is where it's at!!! Elegant yet playful. Love it a thousand times over!!!
I <3 <3 <3 the Sabion. A-MA-ZING.
Cindrel is my absolute favorite!!! How beautiful!
Although I love all three designs, my favourite is definitely Cindrel. I am drooling at the thought of letterpress invitations, which sadly are likely out of my budget. Although my wedding is in July, I'm considering using dark purple as one of my colours, and am trying to convince my bridesmaids that dark purple dresses won't look strange in the middle of the summer! It will be a traditional church wedding, but the reception venue is a modern space with a hint of urban industrial chic, with high limestone walls, exposed brick and ductwork.
Cindrel's clean lines, rounded corners and patterned enveloped liner are modern, but the calligraphy font and wording also evokes a more traditionally elegant feel -- so the overall effect would definitely reflect the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary that I am hoping to achieve!
I loved the Cindrel. It is just elegant and classy.

I love Sabion- so classy!
OMG the Sabion is perfection. Classic and elegant, but updated with the pale pink vs a more traditional white or cream. Also, the engraved monogram on the envelope is just delicious!!
Dorset is amazing! The seersucker with the elegant font, gives this line the impression of beauty with just the right amount of funk, love it.
I love the Cindrel!! It is so classic yet modern. The envelope liner is made of the most amazing pattern. Any bride would be lucky to have any of these!!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sabion!! So fresh.
I really like the Sabion. It would be perfect for my vintage style wedding.
I love the Sabion! Very clean, simple and elegant. A perfect impression you want to give for your wedding invitations!
I really like the Cindrel, elegant with a touch of whimsy.
The Cindrel couldn't be any more fabulous-- The swirls are extravangt. while the fonts winkingly suggest fun. In a rich tone like eggplant, Cindrel is perfect for a more formal affair, while a brighter color such as pool or papaya would prepare guests for a more relaxed event. Versitle, Fun, chic-- what more could any SMP reader want?
Definitely Dorset. The font is amazing. I love the cleanness of the line, but it is still so fantastically decorative.
Sabion - I love how they used a contrasting font to emphasize the names of the bride and groom and added just the right amount of flourish to be fun without being over the top. All the individual colors and design details are delicate and restrained, so they work well together instead of overpowering each other.
Sabion is adorable. It's very classic but with a bit of a playful twist!
i love sabion. the combination of fonts, the dotted sides, the curved edges, it's a really great substantial invitation.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Cindrel. The two calligraphy fonts really add a personlized yet unique touch to an otherwise simple design. Whoever said less is more was right.
Did I say LOVE? Well, I really mean it.
Dorset- so formal, so uptown, sweet and sophisticated! Definitely a cross between Manhattan and Cape Cod... I'm in love!
I LOVE Dorset. I'm already in love with their striped pattern for liners and backing, but to print right on top of the stripe - brilliant! Such creativity and elegance.
Cindrel is perfect and a lot of fun!
OH my gosh!! I didn't think I could find something so amazing. I am in love with Sabion, it's classic but fresh and just simply sweet. How incredible!!
I LOVE Cindrel. Absolutely gorgeous!
I love Sabion... really classy and since I love anything in stripes.. the envelopes made me swoommmm!
I LOVE Cindrel. Gorgeous, classic, and with a touch of whimsy!
Oh, Cindrel definitely! Simple and clean, yet undeniably romantic at the same time. Just what I'm aiming for!
Cindrel is my favorite. The calligraphy has an aliveness to it that reminds me of moving pictures -- like classic fonts for film credits -- and yet it is modern glam at the same time!
I can't stop looking at Cindrel. It has a beautiful combination of script and inspiration. The aubergine/brown letterpress ink also adds a wonderful tone to the stationary. Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to share!
I like Sabion the best! Very classic and the pink is great!
I love the Cindrel - the lettering is fantastic and the colors are amazing! It's perfect!
I love Dorset at of all of them! Classy, yet vintage-like. Thanks, I hope to win! :)
i really like the sabion, the simplicity is really unique and striking!
I like Sabion, especially the stripes inside the envelopes!
I love the second one, the Sabion. It is seems so Ivy Prep - love the stripes. I totally love that formal but easy and breazy east coast look.
I LOVE Sabion. Perfection!
The CINDREL. I love that they were inspired by wrought iron--which is so incredible to me that such lovely organic patterns can be crafted of metal. The Cindrel conveys this beautifully, not to mention the FONT is stunning! They look as if the calligrapher created each invite individually for print. The envelope is also such a sweet, perfect compliment to the invitations. Well done, Smock!!
All three are exquisite!! :D
I personally like Dorset. The Smock Spencerian font is fun and gorgeous!
I think some circular corners on Dorset would go well with this type face:)
I really like Swoon.. I'm swooning for it. The stripes remind me of a favorite pillow I had as a very young child. They are so elegant!
Sabian is my favorite!! Love the stripes!
I love Sabion! It's classy and classic - and the stripes inside the envelope are just lovely!! Mind you just to be difficult I also love the print on the inside of Cindrel's envelope too - very pretty and I love aubergine!
Sabion's work is magnificent - love the Cindrel best of the new line - has the classic look. A wonderful contest and good luck in your new line!
Cindrel is fab! Especially the print on the inside of the envelope and the font is a super cute dressy casual that could work for both a formal or informal wedding. Love love love!
My favorite is Dorset... tres chic!
My favorite is Cindrel, it is lovely. The name is clever as well. These are gorgeous invitations
Sabion is delicious! The stripes on the envelope liven it up while the font on the invitation is classic AND classy.
Sabion is so elegant and classy! These invitations are fabulous :)
I am a stationary girl and absolutely LOVE Sabion! It is a stunning classic invitation with a modern twist. My favorite aspect of it is the combination of fonts. The block letters combined with the swirly font reflects both the groom and bride. The contest is fab and I would love to be the lucky recipient of the gorgeous and unique thank you cards!
Sabion is by far the best design. It's simple and fresh yet classic and elegant.
I like the font and paper of Dorset but they don't go together but fight each other for attention. It needs a graphic element to pull it together or use that paper for a birth announcement/baby shower.
The invitation to Cindrel is lovely but the type is too big and is shouting and that envelope is hideous!
Dorset is definitely my favorite. I love the new calligraphy font. It's gorgeous!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE cindrel!! It has the most gorgeous calligraphy font I have ever seen! I think it's classy but with a new touch! BEAUTIFUL!!!
Sabion is my favorite! It has a french-esque twist on a classic looking design. Perfect mix of stripes, script and block font!
They are all gorgeous, but Sabion is my very favorite. Classic, elegant and just a touch Frenchie... LOVE it!
I fell in love with Smock invitations a year ago when I was picking out my own invites. As I couldn't afford them, I used them as inspiration for my own. Their use of sustainable bamboo paper drew me even more to this company as they create not only beautiful letterpress, but a product that you can feel good about from an environmental perspective.
The Sabion is absolutely beautiful and has become my new favorite! The classic script and black and white envelope liner are perfection and lend the invitations a French feel. I can think of nothing better than finally getting some of of Smock's letterpress paper to address my thank you notes, a dream come true!
Sabion is perfect. It flawlessly pulls off elegance and sophistication without appearing to try to hard. And I love the hint of "sass" of the stripes inside the envelope! The thank you cards are fabulous too, and I am excited that one says "Merci Beaucoup" since I am planning a bilingual French-English wedding.
I am just in love with SABION. It is so chic and elegant!!! I really can see our name and wedding date to be printed on that card! YES SABION is the one!
Cindrel is my favorite, mostly because of the envelope lining, unexpected uniqueness
It's a tough decision but I have to say that Cindrel is may fav. Gorgeous and elegant!
Sabion is perfection!
Sabion, absolutely stunning, and eternally sophisticated! :)
Sabion is calling to my inner Charlotte York!** Love! Love!**
dorset is definitely my fav,the pale blue/gray coupled with the cursive gives off this beautiful vintage feel. it's definitely different than what we've been seeing lately and its quite refreshing.
I love the Cindrel! It's simple, kinda Art Nouveau looking, and reminds me of the super romantic book and movie Great Expectations. Delish.
Sabien. Simple, sophisticated. I have really enjoyed seeing the trend in different font use and unexpecting spacing in wedding invitations balancing classic and modern. I think Smockpaper has done it best with Sabien.
Love Cindrel! The calligraphy font is absolutely beautiful.
I love Cindrel the best- the color and font is great!
Love Cindrel....just getting started on all my wedding planning and am now at the invitation part! Cindrel is whimsical and the font is dreamy!
Sabion is definitely my favorite. The monogram detail makes it classically elegant, and I love how it is continued on the envelope.
Pretty difficult as all three are really lovely, but I think that Dorset is my favourite. I love the subtlety of the stripes and the elegance of the font. Really wish that my wedding were upcoming rather than just gone (2 weeks today!) so I could choose these and work with them as a basis for a brand new theme!
I love the Dorset design. I got my invites from Bella Figura and the feeling of my invites gets stepped up a notch with the stripes! Love it.
I cannot take my eyes off the Cindrel design! I love the combination of the beautiful calligraphy and the modern swirl.. The envelope liner with the art nouveau design looks absolutely divine with the invitation :)
I really love Dorest ... as someone newly engaged (3 weeks) and who had the bright idea of deciding to get married in 4 short months (i figured, why wait?!) i've stared endlessy at millions of invitation designs until my head hurt and my eyes went fuzzy. Most are too ornate, too flowery, too "cheesy" but this walks the line beatifully -- elegant yet modern ... exactly what i'm trying to make my wedding look like! I love the subtle stripes. It is something that my finace would definitely NOT make a sour face at as I turn the computer screen toward him and ask, "what about this one?" -- I think this is something we'd both love!
well done!
Sabion is a beauty! I love how clean it is, and its special little details -- but i absolutely ADORE the envelope liner -- mod, bold, and fresh! i want to steal those strips for my cocktail napkins and my wedding album end-pages too!
Cindrel is my favorite. I LOVE this font, it is so pretty!! I also love the swirly design and the matching envelope liner. Very clean and classic.
I like Dorset because it is simple, elegant, and clean like a wonderful seersucker suit for a summer wedding! -Sonia
I adore the Dorset invitation. The almost whimsical script typeface paired with the light blue striping makes me think this is the invite a grown-up Eloise would choose for her wedding at the Plaza.
dorset is my fav!!!
Saibon:Completely classy, clean, and sophisticated. I adore it.
I love the Sabion with the whimsical squiglies but the Cindrel envelope liner is stunning!
My fave is the Dorset range - inspires me to throw a wedding in a simple, elegant New York brownstone apartment.
The Sabion because it's beautiful.
I have to go with the Sabion. Clean, tuxedo lines, classic with a sense of fun. Gorgeous. And they're easy to complement with a black and white wedding theme, a black and pink wedding theme, even an all-white wedding theme!
My favorite is Cindrel; it's beautiful eggplant color paired with the awesome "wrought iron fence" inspired design make this invite set really stand out. The fun calligraphy font and simple, yet elegant design on the invite is the perfect way to announce the beautiful news of one's nuptials!
Dorset! Love it! It's a combination of preppy and elegant!
SAbion SAbion all the way! So classy!! So beautiful. I am shopping for invitations and reply cards and I can't believe the sheer number of options out there.
I LOVE the Sabion! It is simplistic but so elegant at the same time!
i love the cindrel! beautiful, unique and definitely chic! I just got married yesterday and used letterpress invitations! I love them!!
The Sabion is my favorite, and I love the Dorset too. My fiance and I are both into watching & making movies and having a vintage hollywood theme for our wedding. I think both of these would enhance the theme very elegantly, they're timeless, classic and also have a clean, modern feel. amazing!!
I love the crisp, uncluttered elegance of the Sabion design. It has an understated grace; the lack of embelleshment is exactly the tone that I am wanting to achieve for my wedding this Australian summer. Its quietly without adornment - here we are exposing our love in front of our closest family and friends and when you strip away all the unnecessary layers of a wedding the motifs, frills and flowers and fussiness what remains is the honest simplicity of two people in love.
Sabion happens to be my favorite too. I love the simplistic yet elegant style. The style draws the eye to the names, as well as the monogram, of the couple, putting the focus exactly where it should be....on the couple. It also has a feel which mirrors the style of true love.....classic and never out of style!
Cindrel is gorgeous! So simple, clean and MUAH! I just love the scroll!!!
Cindrel: i love the eggplant purple paired with the white. Beautiful.
Cindrel is my pick, hands down! I love the sassy calligraphy. It makes the classy design throughout the invitation have a little spice to it. And the eggplant purple is beautiful!
I love the Dorset for it's classy, boudoir-esque feel. It's almost as though we've caught a glimpse into the desk of a 1930's era socialite. AND I absolutely love the juxtaposition of the stripes and the print of the envelope liner. It is by far my fav!!! Just stunning!
The Dorset is a perfect invitation. The ladylike font and liner are ultra feminine, but the baby boy blue stripes offer a nice nod to the groom. The elements balance each other out perfectly—just like a well-matched couple:) It'd be beautiful for a Spring wedding.
Sabion is beyond georgeous and unlike other invitations I have seen. I love the elegantly rounded corners, gold painted edges (my fav) and mixed fonts. Its timeless and elegant while still having a bit of a modern flair. It could be used for so many different types of weddings, modern, formal, traditional... I also love the placing of the return address and the formal but quirky enevelope liners!! LOVE!!
Sabion is gorgeous, but I was even more surprised to see that the invitation pictured was for a wedding in my hometown; I spent many hours at that lovely park! I especially loved the striped envelope lining!
Cindrel is beautiful. I love that the scroll work was inspired by a wrought iron fence. The calligraphy is unique and just stunning.
Of course I would not say no to any of the new designs...the one that compliments me as a bride would be the new Dorset design. I will not be the bride wearing the typical white princess dress, but it does not mean I will not want to feel like a princess that day. The dorset design I think captures the best of both words, the calligraphy font, Smock Spencerian is elegant and one of a kind, where the stripes come in and say I am uniqie and different.....The invite as a whole says to me, I will be the star of the ball, but I do not want to be like everyother bride..I am unique!
SabionSabionSabion! I love the lined envelopes in contrast to the simple, elegant invite!
Oh! if only I hadn't just ordered my invites! Cindrel is just beautiful! elegant, quirky, & fun. So few invitations are able to be classy and fun at the same time, but you've managed to strike the balance. Just beautiful!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE: Cindrel! The wrought iron fence inspiration is right on the mark. There is something about combining 'rustic' with 'elegance' that just blows my mind. Well done!
I love the calligraphy style of the Dorset invitation! As someone else stated, if only I have found them before :( I am shopping around for thank you notes now and would die if I won these! They are absolutely magical :)
Both whimsy and fun, I like cindrel the best. It’s very creative and emits a sense of joy.
My favorite is Sabion. Whether it's 1939, 2009 or 2029 ... that design is elegant, classic and timeless. I love how of the simplicity of the invite is offset by the bold lined envelope.
I love love LOVE the combo of whimsy and sophistication in the Cindrel design. It is fun and classic!!!
Sabion is my favorite. I love the clean lines yet it is still feminine and warm. I could see using this invitation for a variety of occasions - formal or informal. The font is elegant and soft. The striped envelope liner adds a French touch. It would be such fun for your guests to open.
I love the Cindrel! It is elegant, whimsical, and fresh
I truly love Cindrel. It is romantic and modern without being "cute," and so different from many of the cliche wedding invitations you often find. So elegant!
The Cindrel takes the cake for me! I just sent my invitation envelopes to Debi TODAY for calligraphy addressing. Her work is stunning. Beyond that, I am completely smitten with Smock's (and Bella Figura's) committment to eco-friendly stationary. Knowing that Debi's beautiful calligraphy is used to create eco-conscious stationary just makes me giddy. Oh, and lastly, the envelope liner shown with the Cindrel reminds me a bit of the tone on tone palmetto leaf lining my Lenox Hannah Platinum china! It is all just perfect!
As for the thank yous - who can choose?!? Mix and match for me, please!
I love the Cindrel! The flourishes are great and go so well with the calligraphy!
I love the Sabion - it is very clean and elegant with a modern touch. Also, the nice contrast of the striped envelope liner really makes this invite unique!!
Sabion gets my vote! It's something my fiance and I would both love (and my parents too!) It's traditional for his taste, and hint of romantic for me! Would carry out through the rest of the wedding design really well.
There is nothing better than gorgeous hand lettering on GORGEOUS paper. It doesn't get any better than Smock.

They are all beautiful with distinct personalities. I adore Sabion. The contrast between the soft pink and rigid stripes suggests a theme of downtown romance. The calligraphy is effortlessly elegant and easy to read. This invite is apprioriate for a bride who finds herself head over heels in a old fashioned neo-classic romance or the no frills but still feminine "Sex and the City" kind of love. Either way, Sabion's tailored style is fitting for the modern couple. I even like the way it sounds.
Does anyone know if you can purchase these fonts?
