Real Wedding: Sneak Peek

June 11th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 16 comments

One of my very favorite movies (get ready for some serious cheese people) is The Notebook. I swear I’ve seen it 20 times and anytime that it’s on TV, I find myself falling head over heels in love with it all over again. And when I opened the wedding that we are featuring tomorrow, I instantly saw that same vintage romance, that same total and unabashed love. So needless to say, I swooned.

Here is a little sneaky peek of the ridiculously in love couple…

The amazingly talented team at Twin Lens captured these photographs and aside from being total photography geniuses, they also shoot from the unque husband and wife perspective…so each catches all of the little nuances, all of the little details to perfection. More to come!

I can't wait! I'm hoping for that same kind of vintage romantic feel for my own wedding.

First, I LOVE your blog. Second, you are so right about these photos. The vintage feel is so romantic, and you can really see how in love the couple is. Priceless.

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous. I swear, I am more in love with the photos of "In Love" couples than I am with the actual wedding details. Anyone can have details. To have photos that capture the spirit of love and essence of the couple - that's priceless. And magical.

Where did she find that beautiful flower hairpiece? I've been looking all over for something similar. The veil is marvelous, too!

  11. my favorite wedding photos are ones like these - where the couple looks divinely happy and so intensely focused on each other - oblivious to everything else... (i am being visited by warm fuzzies right now...)

  12. Feels like such a classic wedding from a time lost long ago...if these images were not so sharp, I would think they were pulled out of a forgotten truck in some attic from the 1950's...love the vintage effect. Well executed :)

    Hi this is the bride.
First of all, thank you all so much for your kind words. We had the most spectacular day, and Kitty and Craig captured it perfectly. Their work absolutely exceeded our expectations.

My flower and veil were made for me by Chelsea at Oh My Deer.
Here is her blog post from when she first made it: http://ohmydeerhandmades.blogspot.com/search?q=miss+maud I love how she names her pieces (this one, Miss Maud, was named after my great-grandmother), so if you’re interested in a particular piece you can refer to it easily.
She does have an Etsy shop where you can request custom orders. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5078881

I won my piece through a contest on the Once Wed blog, but as I recall when she had pieces posted on Etsy they were very reasonably priced.

The second photograph may be my favorite pic of all time. Absolutely stunning. It should be a movie poster.
