Our next wedding is completely different from our first, in style and design, with the one exception of Julie Mikos…the fabulous photographer behind the day. Erin and Mark tied the knot on Vashon Island in Washington with a warm, intimate ceremony and an absolutely beautiful outdoor reception.

Here are a few quick thoughts from Julie…I think the stylishness of this wedding shows what creative architects both Erin and Mark are. I just loved the outdoor elegance mixed with a pig and salmon roast and a wonderful bluegrass band. It was truly down-home AND elegant. Erin and Mark and all of the guests were tremendous sports when the cloudy day turned stormy and the sky absolutely burst open right before and right after the ceremony! Thankfully the storm passed by the time dinner was served and dancing remained under the stars.

I have such a girl crush on this bride…she is literally glowing! I love that. We have more beautiful images and details from this wedding on the way! And later, we are doing a pretty awesome DIY project from a wedding that we featured a few days ago…can’t wait!
LOVE the gray bridesmaid dresses!
I agree. She is adorable.
Agreed - I LOVE the gray bridesmaids dresses. Can someone tell me where they are from? Pretty pretty please??
I love that color combo of orange and charcoal! LOVE IT!
The bridesmaid dresses are custom. I bought the fabric, set some guidelines (no mini or full length, no ruffles), and let the girls do whatever they wanted. A seamstress on Vashon made 5 of the bridesmaid dresses, the flower girl dress and my wedding dress. My out-of-town maids found local seamstresses for their dresses. I love the way they turned out!
I should have guessed - because i haven't seen anything I liked as much in any store! They're just perfect - congrats!
Beautiful wedding. Can you tell me where you found the tie the groom is wearing??
Mark bought that tie at Nordstrom.
These are the colors I am also using, thank you so much for sharing. Everything turned out so beautiful!
My bridesmaids are wearing a similar look- matte silk shantung in a dark ocean color, knee length, but otherwise their choice on style. And we did our dresses from Lulakate. Note- there are many more choices available than what is shown on the website!
Me too, my bridesmaids are wearing different dresses from Siri similar to the ones in the pictures. They are a knee length Stone Grey Silk Shantung and we're using orange flowers too. I was so excited to see the pictures above and know that I've made a good choice with the color palate. The bride looks so in love! Congratulations!!
