We have the sweetest wedding for you today. Sent to us by Jessamyn Harris, who seems to be forever blessed with the coolest friends and clients, this wedding is all about homegrown elegance. It’s further proof that weddings can be beautiful, without breaking the bank, effortlessly lovely without all the fuss.

From Jessamyn…
Meredith and Scott are the sweetest, most creative people you could imagine, so it was no surprise that their wedding was gorgeous and filled with color, love, and friends. I didn’t get the usual portraits, ceremony shots, group shots, etc., as I was a guest at the wedding instead of the official photographer (although, yes, I couldn’t resist shooting nearly 300 images of my friends and the beautiful garden). The cute couple did almost everything themselves (along with family and friends). The location was some friends’ garden in rural Sonoma County, filled with May blooms and some very cool rustic details.
we are loving those pink blooms.
i'm crushing on the milk glass candy dishes they used for the centerpieces. (me = so obsessed with centerpieces right now)
I forgot to mention that meredith (an amazing artist) busted her OWN camera after the ceremony, and walked around snapping photos herself! so so cute. she also had the BIGGEST GRIN I have ever seen on anyone, for hours after the ceremony. I loved being with a couple that so clearly was having the happiest day of their lives, as opposed to just a great, busy party.
I'm going to have meredith stop by the blog to answer anyone's questions (I want to know: where did you get the dress and shoes?) here in the comments (hope that helps, abby!). this couple is the best!
Fresh flowers in milk glass is my FAVORITE! So effortless.
I, too, need to know where she got her dress! So perfect.
oops, I meant to say that the bride "busted out" her own camera - it didn't bust! - meaning that she was taking photos all afternoon/ evening. it was totally sweet :)
I picked the flowers from my own garden. Roses, mint, lavender, calla lilies, and sweet peas. Luckily we had an abundance of blooms.
The dress was a j. crew sample that I got at Jeremy's in San Francisco, which is a great place to shop for bridesmaids dresses, or if you want a non-weddingy wedding dress, like I did. It was a soft pale minty green with antique gold stripes. I had it altered quite a bit by Theresa Hughes, a local and very talented seamstress, pattern maker and costume designer.

I adore your dress! I've show it to so many people. Seersucker (I'm guessing) for a casual wedding is just brilliant!!!
