Isn’t Amy dreamy!

from Jessamyn …
Amy and Brent came to San Francisco from Vancouver, B.C., for their November 1st, 2008 wedding. Since it was the day after Halloween/ Dia de los Muertos, Amy and Brent had a fabulous mixture of autumnal elements (like orange-gelled lighting, brightly orange and red toned florals), nods to Halloween (wedding-themed jack-o-lanterns, glitter-covered mini pumpkins, Dia de los Muertos bride and groom topper on a deliciously decorated cupcake tree), and vintage elegance. The venue (1 Fort Mason in San Francisco – an old officer’s club from World War II) had vintage elements that complimented Amy’s beautiful dress and style, and Amy and Brent incorporated great wedding vendors with some DIY decorative elements . It was a beautiful wedding, with so many unique elements.

In case you hadn’t noticed, we have a thing about shoes and chandeliers around here …

If you haven’t ever done the glittered-mini-pumpkin thing … we highly recommend it! {Takes the season to an all-new height!}

Congratulations Amy & Brent on a spectacular wedding! And a huge thanks to Jessamyn Harris Photography for sharing!!
Great inspiration! I am getting married on halloween, and was planning on using white pumpkins to complement our color scheme, and love the glitter idea!
anyone know where I can find those shoes?
Is that a henry roth gown?
Gorgeous light projection.
Wow, such a beautiful, warm feel to the wedding!
Now I want a fall wedding, it looks so warm and cozy inside.

Any idea where they got the tuxes?
I think I have the same shoes, they're dyeables! The blue is so vibrant! I want to dye mine bright yellow, and i'm also a SF bride. Where did the bride take them for their colorful makeover?

I am getting married at 1 Fort Mason and would love to what vendors they used. Such a beautiful wedding!!
hi, everyone!
here are the vendors that I know:
Venue - 1 Fort Mason
Cinematography (Super 8) - Layer Cake Films
Cupcakes - Sibby's
Dress - Alva (Henry Roth)
Shoes - Touch Ups Melissa (dyed blue)
Place Cards and Invitations - Blue Skies and Daisies (Vancouver)
Bridesmaids' Dresses - David's Bridal
Florals - Mary OConner from Out of the Weeds (SF)
Catering - Melons
DJ - Los Gatos DJ
Hotel - Kabuki
in particular, the cupcakes were about the most amazing thing I've ever tasted, the shoes were GORGEOUS, the lighting was really a wonderful touch for the venue and season (I think it was "Got Light?" but am not 100% sure), and the DJ was really wonderful too. It was just a fantastic, fun, beautiful wedding (elegant without being at all stuffy or fussy). The food was simple yet very tasty and local, and everyone loved dancing and socializing. Oh, and the invitations and placecards were super cute - their designer created little bat and owl cartoon characters to sort of represent the B&G and fit the setting, and each placecard had the characters in a different pose. It was as if a flip book had been broken out into dozens of placecards, and such a nice touch!
There were also chocolate skull favors. So many great little touches!
Oh, that should say "Super 8" under Cinematography - for some reason it made the sunglasses-guy emoticon happen instead. Ha ha!
Yes! It is less than 5 months and counting now (Wedding Oct 30th), and we are getting married in Puerto Vallarta the day right before Day of the Dead, but I guess since it's more tropical, our decor is going in a different direction. It's more of a modern garden wedding style in a villa. My question would be advice on getting my DIY on the plane! I'm so far planning on the favors and pom poms. The plan is to do it before I leave, but assemble once I'm down there!
The bouquets are amazing and I love the small pumpkin accents! Wonderful color palette!
Hi! This was my wedding, and Jessamyn did an amazing job with the photographs. She listed all the vendors above.
The glitter pumpkin recipe was easy (although a bit messy) and can be found on Martha Stewart.com:

I had the shoes died at a local shoe repair store.
Ok I just have to say I can spell...I had the shoes DYED at a local shoe repair shop. :)
Ha! That's pretty funny. Died. Dyed!
Thanks for the info Amy. SUPER wedding!!! ~ Eddye (SMP)
We are getting married on November 21, 2009 on a plantation. We are doing chocolate brown dresses with sea glass blue and greens as the accent colors. It's a country rustic chic style as I like to put it. Having a hard time finding cute blue colored flower girl dresses! Also, not sure of what to get the bridesmaids! Help!
Jessamyn, thanks for the list, already got a big help
