Stephanie, Congrats! This is exactly what I have been picturing for my June wedding next year. I adore the neutral tones that create such an elegant vibe and do not restrict you to one colour. It really is perfect - well done! Just a quick question for you - my girls are having trouble finding dresses in those neutral tones, do you have any suggestions that I could pass on to them? I'm letting them pick their own style as well. Cheers!

I love what "a" had to say here- it is totally true! I wanted something down home and fun, but also elegant. I tried to not be discouraged by $$ but rather think outside the box. I am so blessed by how it all came together. I would be lying if I said I knew how much the whole affair came to-My mother did so much work because I actually live half a country away from where we held the wedding. Decor was around 300-500 (mostly thrift stores, outlets...) The flowers were arranged as a gift by a friend of the family- however, we did not have to buy that many flowers due to already having a beautiful outdoor location- that lowered cost as well. Our dinner was good ol' fashioned BBQ. My uncle smoked brisket and chicken, and friends of the family helped with side dishes and serving. (Not sure how much was spent on food) My cousin made the cake (she is like 18 or 19 yrs old!!!) and did a brilliant job! So, all said, I had a lot of people give of their talents on my behalf as well as tried to stay thrifty in attaining inexpensive decor/food choices.

I completely agree with Kim. It makes for a much more comfortable, confident bridesmaid if they wear something they feel good in and that isn't always the exact same dress that 4 other women are wearing. I fully support picking a color palette and letting your girls run with it. When people feel their best that comes through in photos and you can definitely tell that each of her bridesmaids isn't worried about what they'll look like in pictures, but about enjoying the day. Way to go!

I adore the photo of the bride showing off her ring. So cute! In fact, all the photos of the bride are wonderful. She looks so relaxed and the photos so candid.
