Thank you SMP and C&B.

We've been lusting over these for a while:

1. Block set of super sharp Shun knives - makes us want to have sushi night!
2. Gallerie coffee table in that rich espresso - ultra functional shelf on the bottom for when company comes
3. All Clad stainless steel pots - an absolute classic, my mother still has hers from her wedding
4. Retro glass canisters - if Ina Garten has them, they're going to be a staple in our house. Ina has such incredible style!

love, love, love Crate and Barrel almost as much as Style Me Pretty!
So, I had a question about the big giveaway. My fiance and I are already registered with Crate & Barrel. Are we able to enter your giveaway?

This is so so exciting!

The top 4 things on my registry are pieces that you wouldn't go out and buy for yourselves any day of the week. They are pieces that will last forever and that you will treasure your entire marriage. But I have to say---after getting engaged I remember thinking "yay I can finally register for a Kitchen Aid Mixer!!"

I am one of those girls that loved setting the table with my Moms fina china, crystal and flat ware and I am looking forward to having my own.

1. Fine China

2. Crystal

3. Flatware

4. And of course that jewel of appliances The Kitchen Aid Mixer!!!

Ack. The registry is the #1 thing I am terrified of in all the wedding planning. I am totally lost! I created our registry at Crate and Barrel last week and I haven't even gone in to look at all the different things to buy because I'm so completely overwhelmed. Help!!

That Kitchenaid mixer is seriously one of the most beautiful pieces of machinery I have ever seen. I do know how to bake, and have been working with all kinds of tomfoolery, so I guess this would be a good place to start.

My other registry items? Erm... we only have one cheap Ikea knife at the moment. All of our silverware is mismatched from cross-country moves (both LA to NY and then NY to the UK!). And I have to borrow my future mother-in-law's Le Creuset casserole dish every time I want to cook anything that requires one. So those would be my current top 3. I guess I should go put those in the registry now but the sheer amount of choice even within that limited range is numbing.

I hate to think that I am as clueless as I sound! I've just been so busy with work since I became a grown up that I never had the time to think about putting a kitchen together. If I don't get some intervention I fear the registry will never be started, let alone finished!

Thank you : )

1. Good knives - ones that are actually sharp and not so dull you risk injury every time you try and cut a tomato

2. New sheets - the kind that aren't 8 years old and all stretched out

3. Flatware - all matching!

4. Mixing bowls

1. Kitchen Aid Mixer - I have been years without a mixer, and now have several hand mixers that operate when they choose, that is if I can find all of the parts.

2. Bodum Assam Tea Press - I am a tea fiend and this is perfect for all of my loose leaf teas, hot or cold.

3. Raya Pitcher - this would be perfect for hot afternoons on the porch or girls' night in, and it's so colorful!

4. Cast iron skillet - I can't wait to get a cast iron skillet and flavor it with spices from my yard and fish and sausage

1 - Anya candleholders. Love to have the table set with romantic lighting.

2 - The 10 piece punchbowl dress. Just perfect for serving my mom's recipe for champagne punch.

3 - Nina Paisley Duvet cover. Soft cotton sateen in a prettily colored paisley pattern. What's not to love?

4 - Kitchen Aid Mixer. Of course! A must for all kitchens! Beautiful, functional, timeless.

1. A Weber Gas Grill (because if he is holding the registry gun, he should get to point it at whatever he wants. And nothing says manly like flipping burgers on a rooftop in San Francisco in the fog.)

2. Scotch glasses and a decanter for the bar, and to entertain the boys when they come over for scotch and cigars.

3. A sleek, modern vase for my peonies, tulips and everything pretty in pink. Flowers make our apartment feel like a home!

4. Bone China set in all white. My mom always said that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach, so why not do it in style!
