Real Wedding: Jaime and Todd, III

June 4th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 9 comments

Love. Love. Love. This wedding is one of my new favs that we’ve featured on SMP. As mentioned earlier, ALL of the weddings that we are featuring today were designed for somewhere in the area of $5,000 – $10,000 and yet this one, seems like it could have cost much more. There is just something about the easy elegance, the soft and pretty style, the absolute love.

A few quick details from the fabulous photographer behind the affair, Kelly of Kelly Melissa Photography

“Jaime’s son, Sam walked her down the aisle and gave her away. It was so sweet. They had one of their closest friends marry them, and let me tell you, she was amazing! Their friends got up during the ceremony and read poems. And, to top it off, Jaime and Todd wrote their own, extremely loving and emotional vows. I found it so hard to take pictures because I was crying like a little baby!  There was great food, great drinks, great music, and a lot of great dancing! Seeing Todd dance with Jaime’s daughter, Olivia, was so sweet and so apparent that they already are a FAMILY. “

Thank you so very much to Jaime and Todd for letting us have a little window into their perfect day. It is more than inspiring, dream-worthy on so many levels. And to Kelly Melissa Photography for sending us this beautiful affair!

I love that you are featuring budget friendly weddings today. Everybody's pocket book has gotten a little smaller with the economy and it's good to see a stylish and fabulous wedding pulled off that doesn't cost tons of money

  2. Love the expression on the kids face with one front tooth. He looks so happy....this is what weddings and celebrations are about...that face!

This is truly adorable! I love the wedding dress, as well as the groomsmen attire! I love the idea that a close friend married them and they had friends read and write poems! It doesn't get any more romantic than that!

I love this wedding! More details please as to how they did it for so cheap! Who did the flower arrangements? I love how lit up the tables are. So romantic and pretty.

  5. I loved this wedding! Glad you guys liked it!

Melissa: The morning of the wedding the bridesmaids went to the flower mart, with no plans of flower arrangements, and literally bought whatever flowers looked the best that day. The bridesmaids are not florists, but sat together making arrangements. It was so easy and so beautiful!

I've been trying to find a good shot of the love-lies-dying (I think the red hanging down in the centerpieces) for some time. I love the look--they did a fantastic job!!

  8. Melissa says:

Wow! The flowers look amazing! Jaime definately had some wonderful bridesmaid (with great taste/creativity too)!

  9. [...] The others I came across were anywhere from 1-4 dollars per number. At one point I thought about wine bottles, but recently found out we cannot have bottles anywhere except behind the bar. I saw a couple ideas [...]
