So, for those of you that are curious, I got the idea for today’s feature after I got an email from a sweet and loyal reader who was hoping that I would show her a few more $5,000-$10,000 as her family has been hit hard by the economy and she and her fiance are footing the bill for their affair. And yet like all brides, she still wants a beautiful wedding.
Sounded reasonable enough to me! So, I sent out a twitter (or a tweet, however you are supposed to say it) and ended up getting some pretty fantastic budget friendly affairs! This one, sent to me by the incredibly talented Paula of Luna Photography, made me actually squeal with glee!
Before I show you the wedding, though, I wanted to share these ADORABLE pictures of the bride and groom outfitting the Allen House in Austin, Texas, for their big day!

With a couple this cute, and this chic…you just KNOW the wedding is going to be good!! Back tomorrow with all of the incredible details!
I love her dress...what a beautiful color, it's very similar to the bridesmaid dresses my girls and I picked out. I love the bottom picture of them standing under the trees...very romantic. I can't wait to see the wedding pics...what a great teaser! :)

I love those shoes! Where did you get them?!!!
I LOVE today's focus on weddings under 10K. As a dedicated SMP reader I love to see all of the lavish weddings and details I could never afford for my own wedding. But what I could really use (and I'm sure others could too) is some more inspirations, ideas on affordable venues and vendors especially in So Cal. Affordable weddings in big cities are hard to do...it is wonderful to see it being done and well. Thank you for sharing and I really hope to see some more!!
A big thank you for sharing such wonderful budget friendly weddings, I look forward to more, not everyday but maybe once a week or so. Thank you!
Ha! Just noticed you have them all under the DIY, section, neat!!!
Yes a big thanks! This site is full of so many inspiring images, but I myself am under a strict budget 2,000. I know it is a stetch but it can be done! Looking forward to more budget friendly ideas!
I love the Allen House. I live in Austin and actually checked out this venue before picking another one. I can't wait to see the pics. We are staying on a strict budget as well so I'm all ears for some helpful tips!
I really like this site and am excited to see some more budget weddings!
I have seen a lot of "budget" weddings on sites where the couple has the opportunity to utilize some family member's orchard for their ceremony, with a grandma who is an amazing baker making great pies and cupcakes for their reception while their talented musician and photographer friends entertain and document their celebration as a gift or on trade.
While I am delighted for these couples, some of us don't have those resources at our disposal and we still have to make it work on a budget...with a big guest list, too!
Kudos to all the bloggers and folks that contribute to these sites. You provide great ideas and inspiration.
Yay!! So excited to see this featured! They are the sweetest and such a joy to work with!
As a wedding photographer, I'm just wondering what most couples consider budget-friendly photography and videography? What are couples willing or able to spend in that department? I was an under 10K bride myself and went super cheap on photography and totally regret it! But, I love the photography from this post and am super excited to see the wedding pics!
Fabulous pictures! LOVE the setting. :)
love the dress - where did you get it from?
Great photos, too - the Allen House is terrific.
my dress was purchased at Francesca's http://www.francescascollections.com/index.jsp
the lights! the lights! where did you get the strings of lights with the colored bulbs?
