Rehearsal Dinner by Amy Nichols

June 2nd. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 13 comments

And speaking of great rehearsal dinners, I am head over heels for this Mexican inspired affair that Amy Nichols designed! It’s the perfect way to welcome your guest…a few margaritas, some great music and a casual but festive vibe. Love. Love. Love.

Timothy Teague shot these perfect photographs and completely captured the spirit and fun of the day. You know, sometimes, the rehearsal dinners are like mini-weddings in and of themselves. Although it’s important to not let the rehearsal dinner upstage the main event, it’s a really great time to infuse some creativity and whimsy into your wedding weekend. Guests will SO appreciate the effort and you’ll be able to kick back and have some fun before the big day!

Oh and the AMAZING flowers and ribbon detailing is by Jennie Grube of Greenstem Floral and Event Design. So beautiful.

SO. MUCH. FUN. Thank you, Amy, for sending this fabulous affair our way! Lucky for us, Amy is also sharing this couple’s wedding with us! Jose Villa is just working on getting us the photographs so hopefully, we’ll have it up next week!

And before we move on to our next little piece of inspiration, I wanted to congratulate Emily at Once Wed on her new site! Looks Fab!

Oh, and those sparkly shoes! Do I spy a red sole? Are they Christian Louboutin?

Looks like so much fun! How many yards of ribbon did that take?! :)

  4. Great use of color! Very festive. Another great idea would be to tuck maracas into the ribbons on the napkins in place of the flowers. Also, those cute hats that the girls are wearing can be tied to the back of each chair to help the guests get into a "fiesta" mood.

Love this-- we are going for a similar look for our rehearsal dinner but it's at an Indian restaurant. I hope we can emulate this :)
