So, remember this amazing DIY invitation that we featured during one of our DIY contests? You guys went nuts over it and guess what…the cute bride recently tied the knot and her photographer, Ken Luallen (one of the best in our Little Black Book), is stopping by to share some of the ridiculously great pictures and details!

From Ken…One of my craftiest brides, Youn Lee, shared her handmade invitations on SMP back in October. Well last month her much-awaited wedding at Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham, NC finally arrived and her personal flair continued!

Youn chose a bold purple color scheme as a personal tribute – it was her late mother’s favorite color – which she accented with pink. She and her bridesmaids were the center of attention even amidst the garden’s Spring blossoms, each of them wearing delightful peep-toed pink pumps by Glint. (Glint appears to be sold exclusively at Nordstrom).
So much more to come!

Yay! I can't wait to see the pictures of the gardens, they are one of the best things about Durham and Duke University!
I love those pink shoes!
i wore those shoes for a wedding i was in last august! very cute and so reasonably priced (from what i remember, definitely under $100).
where are those dresses from? they are absolutely amazing! such a great modern and vintage alternative to the "normal" bridesmaid dress. and match the brides gown so well
omigosh, those shoes are awesome! but i checked nordstrom and i don't see the addison peep toes in pink anymore!!!
does anyone know how to locate any??
I MUST have those bridesmaid dresses!! Please tell us where to find them!
I was fortunate enough to attend and this was truly a beautiful wedding. Youn's styling, DIY projects and attention to detail were amazing. All of her personal touches really made the wedding feel intimate.
Yay! It's so great to see our pics on SMP since I spent countless hours pouring over it while planning. What a compliment!
and the bridesmaid dresses are the "Adrianna Papell Shantung Dress" also at Nordstrom.
Beautiful!
I LOVE the purple! Love the groom's tie! Where is that from? Love the socks! Love the ceiling treatment. Love the girls purple dresses....must have.
I'm wondering where the groomsmen got their socks, anyone know?
Fabulous Wedding! Simply stunning!...and I must know, please, where did you get your favor boxes? They are just beautiful, as is everything else associated with this wedding!
D'oh, I found it in a previous post...J Crew socks!
Thanks Elizabeth! I ordered the favor boxes online and glued cut-out doily placemats around the bottoms. Then tied them with twine and construction paper cut-outs.
here's the how-to:

I hope that helps!
I love the groom's tie---where can I find it?
beautiful wedding!
Too cute! I loved this wedding when I saw it on the Bliss blog.
Call a Nordstrom store. My bridesmaids are wearing those shoes in 3 weeks. When I found them online a few months ago, they didn't have pink anymore, but the salesperson called everywhere for us and got us the shoes. Act fast though! I think the stock is very low.
Also, I think the tie is from toybreaker on etsy.
Can you tell I've been doing lots of wedding planning? ;)
Can anyone tell me where she got the silver cake stands that are pictured in the other photos?
Thank you for sharing Youn and Nathan's wedding. It was a joy to be apart of this wedding as a day of coordinator. Youn was so crafty, creative and a joy to work with. I wish them the best!
P.S. The Cake stands were from the Baker Sugarland of Chapel Hill, NC.
You're wedding looked sooo beautiful! Congrats! I love your wedding dress! What is the designer and style?
I totally remembered her invites and was so taken by how sweet and crafty they are! This wedding is gorgeous and there are so many wonderful details that went into it! Thank you for sharing them!
Thanks Lauren! The dress is the Donatella by Bellissima Couture. I think it's an older version from a couple seasons ago because it looks a little bit different from the version that's on their website now.
The bridesmaid's dresses are from Nordstrom. I am using the same dresses in my wedding! It is great to hear people like them!
Wow!...amazing!....the bride and the bridesmaids have the same shoes while the groom and the groomsmen also!...It's really cute!,Plus the fact that purple is my favorite color!...
Hi Youn, I love your style! Probably in part because we picked the same bridesmaids dresses! I am getting married next August, and I was wondering what kind of flowers you had in your bouquet and the bridesmaid's bouquets? I was thinking purple calla lillies but now I am wondering if they might be too dark because the flowers and dresses look brighter purple than I had thought... Any suggestions or additional pics would be appreciated!
