Thank you so very much to Youn and Nathan for sharing their gorgeous day with us. And of course, to the incredibly talented Ken Luallen the photographs that have made our heart skip a beat!

A last bit from Ken…Youn and Nathan’s reception decor created an intimate atmosphere, brought on largely by fuchsia and purple paper globes draped above the outdoor patio, its boundaries marked charmingly with dozens of homemade paper bag lanterns lining the stone floor. (Globes from Luna Bazaar) Romantic glowing lanterns created by gluing doilies to the inside of the bags and adding a candle to each.
Gorgeous wedding.
What amazing photographs. I really love the idea of the little lanterns as decoration or to set off before we leave for our honeymoon!
congratulations youn and nathan! your wedding was just beautiful. i especially love the touch of raspberry with all the purples. pam
Youn: OMG. I loved it all. I even found myself on your wedding blog after reading comments on SMP. Your honeymoon - too cute!! I don't even know you (obviously), but I think I want to be your friend! LOL! Congrats on your wedding and for giving me inspiration to stop being lazy and use my creative skills to make my wedding special and unique.
Love those luminarias - a perfect touch at the end of the night!
The paper bag lanterns give a real smooth and home-style feel to event. They are absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks so much for the comments!
and the paper bag luminaries were even prettier from the front, we cut and glued opaque doilies inside the bags so the design shone through . . . and it was a super easy project (courtesy of Martha).
Here's a photo of one of the luminaries from the front and the page has a link to the original project instructions:
