We are featuring fun finds from around the web today and I just saw that one of our very favorite (and hugely talented) calligraphers, Laura Hooper, recently made her television debut!

The adorable Maria Cook of Ritzy Bee used Laura’s work in a feature that she did for a DC based morning show! There is no one more deserving so HUGE props to Laura and her gorgeous calligraphy.
Also, for those of you that have an interest in learning your own calligraphy skills, Laura is featuring a great little write-up on her blog to help get you started!
where on earth might i find those "wish" raffle tickets?
Thanks Abby! You are so right...Laura is AMAZING and so deserving! BTW Charmaine - I purchased the WISH tickets at a fun store near me called Red Barn Mercantile http://www.redbarnmercantile.com/home_decor.htm
Laura is amazing & truly a talented artist! She's incredible really :)
Laura did save-the-date maps/postcards for our 08.01.2009 destination wedding in South Carolina. They were so cute! I had more phone calls just from people wanting to tell me how much they loved them! Today she and I finished proofing my invitations and I cannot wait to receive them!! Laura is so easy to work with - and I live in Alabama so we have done EVERYTHING via email and phone! For any brides out there wondering who to use for your paper needs - LAURA HOOPER!
Can anyone tell me where you can get the wish tickets?
I adore Laura Hooper's work as well! Take a look at my blog posting all about Laura Hooper and all of the gorgeous work she does on maps, calligraphy and monograms:
