and, yes, I agree that you could achieve a lot of this on a budget in a beautiful backyard wedding. not realistic for everyone – not everyone’s backyard is so breathtaking – but it’s a good inspiration point. heck, it makes me want to go out and work on my garden some more, and then throw some amazing backyard dinner parties!

I have no idea! When I post weddings here, it’s about inspiration. Finding ideas in those that others do. For example, hanging ribbon from the back of a small handful of chairs is a really beautiful, not super expensive way to add a bit of romance to your style. Finding old rugs on ebay and craigslist would give warmth to an outdoor venue. Have a friend sketch out your menu then have them printed them through an inexpensive printer.Completely charming. Things like that add so much without breaking the bank. SMP is all about inspiration rather than exact replications.

This is a lovely wedding but I shudder to think how much it cost! I know that we’re supposed to say oh, it’s wedding aesthetic, who cares but in today’s climate, it would be really helpful to get a sense of how much to budget for such a celebration as opposed to just the details of what they rented, bought and had.
