On to the Hans and Catherine’s incredible reception. I love it when a couple infuses their day with personality and charm and they did just that…and so much more.
Here are a few notes from Hans about the day…
We had a piano player and typewriter theme. The actual invites were old player piano rolls, with added maps, menu, directions, and rsvp postcards. The tables were dressed with a typewriter on one end of the table, with a player piano roll fed through them, and the roll ran the length of the table as runners. We had vintage candelabras and drippy candles mixed with blue glass mason/ball jars and white lillies everywhere.
I mean come on people…does it get any better than this?

The dress is adorable and the shoes are so cute! Where are they from?
The shoes are by Giuseppe Zanotti.
I love the dress!! Where is it from?
The dress is hand sewn by me, the groom. It was inspired by a Luly Yang bubble hem dress.
They are just the most beautiful couple! LOVE the clothes!
This is so effortlessly chic. I love the short dress! Now that's what I call a man for all seasons ( one who can sew a fab dress like that for his bride).
Many congrats
I absolutely adore the bubble hem!
WHAT?! The groom sewed the dress? Wow! This couple is absolutely adorable.
Love, love, love those shoes! Where did the bride get them?
And the dress is so cute. Always loved a shorter wedding dress when its done as chic as this
Piano player rolls for invites. This is inventive.
Wow, such a sweet wedding. I love the piano/typewriter theme... very, very cool.
Yes, what is the name of the shoe by Giuseppe Zanotti? Would love to find them!!! SUCH beautiful photos!
Those shoes are ridiculously cute... LOVE them!
Those shoes are FABULOUS!!
What are those little favors that have the cows on top?
The favors are jars of honey, the cows are a particular meal choice, we also had chickens, and vegetables for jar toppers, symbolizing meal choices for the guests. Example: A red cow was warm chevre on toast with petite beef tenderloin, while a blue cow was tossed field greens with coq au vin...
Where did you order the honey from? I love the way they look!
cuuuuuuuuuute shoes! :)
I adore your wedding! My fiance has a thing for old Carnegie libraries and I took him to eat here for his birthday one year. We both wish we had the budget to allow us to have ours there. The couple did such a fabulous job and all the little touches, from her amazing shoes to the little cows.
The shoes are fabulous! I love the mason jars! A cute idea would have been to have lemonade or drinks out of the mason jar.
