When one of the editors over at the fabulous Veranda magazine emailed me about a wedding that they were featuring, I nearly fell off my chair. This just might be the most spectacularly chic affair that I have ever seen, let alone featured on SMP. The bride, interior designer and stylist Kelly d’Halluin is beyond fabulous and honestly, words can’t say just how obsessed with this wedding I really am…

The wedding was held at the Château de Breteuil in the countryside near Paris with an “Arty, decadent, a bit Oscar Wilde and Cecil Beaton with room for natural imperfection” style. The couple held cocktails in the gardens followed by a dinner on the terrace all set at a single long table for three hundred guests. For a girl that dreams about weddings day in and day out, it really doesn’t get any better than this.

The amazing (and by amazing, I mean…incredible, gorgeous, jump-up-and-down beautiful) florals were designed by Stephane Chapell, the event was styled by Kelly D’Halluin and the production executed by Carolyn Englefield. The bride is wearing a couture J. Mendel gown that is honestly giving me heart palpatations.

There are so many fun details to read about over on Veranda’s feature…from descriptions of the perfect flowers to the source behind that unbelievable hairpiece. If you aren’t afraid of doubting every decision you’ve ever made about your own wedding, this is an absolute must read!

I LOVE it!
Amazing, amazing, amazing wedding in France nonetheless! Beautiful chic style with nature incorporated to utilize the natural surroundings and color palette! The bride is absolutely exquisite!
Well -- more "posh" than chic. <3
This wedding is the thing fairytales are made of! I LOVE the single table! How grande!! The bride's look, couture doesn't even begin to describe the living art she was that day. Just breath taking, wish I was a guest! Would have paid for an invite!!
I love it!!! Does the floral designer have a website????
Lovely! That's quite the bouquet the bride is carrying!
(I've noticed they are getting larger in size again? :)
I actually tore this wedding out of Veranda at my dentist's office last week. Gorgeous and inspiring!
If I could re-do my wedding, it would look like this!
so fabulous!
We can't wait for our feature to go up :D
ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!
The tables are so natural and effortless-- everything has a place, but it doesn't seem fussy or overthought. Just gorgeous!
Lovely florals... Altho I stopped mid-swoon upon seeing the bride's hairpiece. Too much, IMHO, but the decor of this wedding is vey lovely and fits perfectly with the setting.
WOW! I want to see more!!
I love the junior bridesmaid/flower girl dresses!! Where are they from?!!
I lovw it! (even the over the top hair piece). I think it's the perfect balance of haute couture and whimsy. I bought the Veranda issuse a couple of weeks ago when I saw this spread. Too bad I don't live in the South of France, but I guess Santa Barbara is a close second.
Her feathers are so stunning and delightfully over-the-top!
Stunning, simply stunning! Beautiful wedding, beautiful couple!
Any info on those wonderful favor boxes?
So beautiful!! Any info on where they got the rustic wood candle holders or where I could find some/a ton : ) Thanks for such a great post!
There's too much to LOVE here: the bride for starters- simply beautiful in J.Mendel, the quite simple, yet so classic feeling, colors echoed throughout even in the landscape, & the setting... so beautiful.
Elizabeth - I suspect those boxes are filled w/ macarons from the famed Laduree patisserie in Paris. They are delicious from there!
And I think this is one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen. I LOVE EVERYTHING.
Gasp....so amazing. Love the hairpiece, love the dress, love the bouquet.... seriously amazing!

The most exquisite headpiece ever. xo
OMG -- LOVE the feathers in the bouquet, such an amazing idea! what a great way to tie together the headpiece, bouquet, and decor... i can't get over how gorgeous this all is!!!
sigh. i wish i could get married again. (to the same man, of course :P)

Yes the boxes are from the famous Laudree in Paris, the article said they are filled with truffles. The boxes wouldn't be hard to duplicate, you could have your own personal lable mede from a local print shop and fill them with macarrons (very French) or truffles. If anyone is interested in a subscription to Veranda it's less then $20 a year and each issue has a floral feature and tons to eye-candy. Just google veranda to subscribe.
I love the bird's nests that are used in the centerpieces. Can anyone tell me where these are from? I would love them for an upcoming party.

I love the bird nests that were used in the centerpieces. They would be perfect for an upcoming party. Does anyone know where I can find some similar ones?
Simply stunning...
Abby do you think the long grande table can work if you have say 3 long tables? Or should you stick to individual tables unless you have the space for just one long table?
I just love this wedding. I have revisited it over and over since I first saw the post. Does anyone know where you could find the oversized lamb's ears used as the runner? They are fantastic, and I just have not been able to find anything like them!
Beautiful! Can you tell me what the big fuzzy leaf is and where you can find it? They are amazing. I just died! Spectacular, every detail.
Thanks,Camille
