I mentioned earlier today that one of my new favorite designer/bloggers is the fabulous Mimi Woo of the invitation line Mika78. She brings her incredible sense of style and sophistication to absolutely everything that she does…from her line of paper goods and wedding details to her amazing blog.

Her ideas are so fresh, so unbelievably innovative, with the perfect combination of feminine charm and modern style. I honestly don’t have a favorite, as I fall more and more in love with each design every time I visit Mimi’s site!
So, when she approached me with this incredible discount giveaway, I said “yes” as fast as humanly possible!

Here’s the deal…

Seventy eight perfect off is RIDICULOUS and we are so thrilled to partner up with Mika78 on this brilliant giveaway!
All of the invitations are so incredibly gorgeous! I too had a hard time picking one out, but if I was chosen I think I'd have to go with the Chic design. We're getting married the Saturday before Christmas and I've been trying really hard to find invitations (in between starting an intensive culinary school program and working!) that are elegant reflect the festive feelings of the holiday without being necessarily Christmas-themed. I think these would be just perfect!
OK I am in LOVE with the botanicals set- not only is it an amazing wedding set but that lime green floral design is perfect. My wedding colors are lime green and brown. We are having a rustic elegance theme and I think this wedding invitation set pretty much sums it up
I have been searching for gorgeous wedding invitations and I have been slacking on purchasing them for our September wedding because nothing has caught my eye - until now :)
I'm positively swooning over Mimi's "Chic" suite - it's the ideal combination of drama and elegance! The feel is formal but not stuffy, and fits the mood of our evening wedding perfectly. We'll be marrying in a restored Victorian mansion, and the invitation's filigreed monogram evokes that period nicely without sacrificing the modern touch we'll be applying throughout. Rich purples and indigos will complement the groom's eyes and the refurbished antique chaises.
I am really torn between a few of Mika's beautiful designs, but I think I'd probably go with the Luxe design suite. It would go nicely with the feeling we're trying to evoke.
Also, my wedding colors are chartreuse and eggplant with a few pops of fushia/violet for accents. And I really think that the Luxe set would look fantastic using an eggplant ink for the text and chartreuse for the flourishes. I'd thought letterpress would be out of our price range, but this design would be just perfect for us if we could make it work!
I was really torn between Botanicals, Blossoms and Spring but in the end, I have to say Botanicals were my favorite. I've been looking for sophisticated floral stationery as we are getting married in late May in wine country, and wanted to convey how beautiful the scenery will be then. The Botanicals set perfectly captures what I've been looking for!
I am In Love with Mika 78's IN LOVE Wedding Suite!!! I am getting married in September and am shopping around for the perfect invitations! I believe that invitations set the tone and style of a wedding. The IN LOVE suite is my vision - so Elegant and Romantic!
In Love is definitely our favorite. We are not flower, leaf, tree, or monogram people. We prefer simple invitations that are readable with clean lines. Many of the these invitations though are too casual for our wedding and would set the wrong tone. In Love, on the other hand, is the perfect combination of minimalism with a touch of formal. In Love would look great in midnight with a pop of bright color, like the very berry, in the envelope liners. These invitations would go a long way in reminding our guests that while they will have a ball during all of our festivities, we're not throwing just another party.
What an insanely AMAZING giveaway! I've been in love with Mika78's "Spring" invitation suite for a long while now - I actually loved the invite so much when I first saw it that it inspired me to change my wedding colors to pale pink, chocolate brown and champagne!
Looking at all of the gorgeous letterpress wedding designs out there has turned me into a bit of a paper junky - no one can understand why I'm so obsessed with "the perfect invitation"! Sadly, our budget does not allow the luxury of letterpress, but with this HUGE discount, we could!
Thank you Mimi and Abby for this opportunity :) SO generous!
"in love"--classic. classic. classic... but with a twist of funky modernity befitting of my law student self & rockstar betrothed!
The "In Love" set is BEAUTIFUL! I especially love the detail on the envelope liner.
[submitted before I was ready--sorry!]
“in love”–classic. classic. classic… but with a twist of funky modernity befitting of my law student self & rockstar betrothed!
our colors are peach & yellow with an impossibly indulgent flourish of pearls & leopard print bridesmaid shoes. and feathers. opulence--just like Mika78's decadent invitations! we're truly 'in love'!
I have been searching for the perfect invitations long before I ever found the man I was going to marry. Crazy, I know, but I was raised by a paper-loving mother who, like me, is often more excited to buy wrapping paper than presents. So, when I found Mika78's website through Style Me Pretty this year, I was expecting another lovely, but not perfect, suite of invitations. But lo-and-behold, In Love had me totally and completely enchanted upon first glance. It's the perfect mix of classic (my mom couldn't survive without a little calligraphy on my invitation) and modern (like me). But the element that really put me over the edge is the envelope liner--a perfect, sweet, surprising touch that is exactly what I want my wedding to be filled with.
This invitation would set the perfect tone for my summer 2010 wedding, which I'm hoping will be a modern, romantic mix of pale, pale pinks, leafy greens, natural linens and antique golds. Now if only I could add Mika's gorgeous invites to the picture in my head!!
I have been been searching for the perfect wedding invitation for the past few months and nothing comes close to the Mike78 designs -- so excited about this post! The Botanicals collection would be great for my wedding. It's in June 2010 and the colors are powder blue and a muted grass green. This invitation totally reflects the chic and upscale garden party style that my fiance and I are going for.
I love the Botanical style! It's a beautiful set that has just enough of everything: splash of bright color, elegant font, and charming detail to pull it altogether. My wedding colors include pewter, green and raspberry.
I love "the quote" because it can tie everything together for me!! I'm looking for an image that is perfect but still with theme that I can carry through my wedding. I think the tree on this sample would be perfect (not to mention the quote). So many trees I've seen on invitations are so generic and too "spring-y". But this one has the leaves falling off (we have a fall wedding), combined with the quote and the paper tie together... perfection!!
Our wedding colors are burnt orange, avocado green (the inside :)), and chocolate. (variations on all these colors - anything "fall" really).
I love the Blossoms design - it's so modern yet elegant.
The yellow flowers would go great with our color scheme, but I would probably do the text in midnight blue.
It's not easy to find a design that perfectly captures and distills a wedding to a single piece of paper. I think I have searched almost the entire internet for invitations that capture the look I want to convey to my guests -- whimsical, romantic, elegant, yet with a modern twist. Amazingly, Mika has succeeded with her gorgeous Romance invitations! I am in looove with these invitations; they are so perfect for an elegant evening affair and would really bring my wedding together. I love the delicate border on the response cards and how the swirls and loops of the invitation's border complement the gorgeous calligraphy of the bride and groom's names. What really brings these invitations together for me is the lining of the envelopes -- I love the design!
I have been coveting Mika78's invitations ever since I started my wedding planning process so all I can say is, this is one awesome giveaway. I am in love with the Monogram collection. The intricacy of the designs almost has an ethnic flavor and really seizes my attention. I also love the muted colors which add to the vintagey feel of the set.
This collection fits in perfectly with the vintage theme of my upcoming wedding. The colors will be mauves and yellows with accents of indigo.
I am absolutely head over heels for the Romance collection! We will be celebrating our marriage in a grand historic theater in our hometown. The ornate flourishes and script in this collection are a perfect complement to the rich decor of the theater. The subtle butterflies reflect an important aspect of our ceremony, as we plan to have our guests release butterflies after we are married to symbolize our new beginning and family members who are no longer with us.
Our wedding palette is eggplant, grassy green, and gold. When I picture our palette incorporated into the Romance design, I can really envision the whole style and feel of our wedding coming to life!
As a young couple, we resigned ourselves to a completely DIY wedding to cut on costs - I never imagined that we could have such elegant, distinctive letterpress stationery! Thank you for such a generous opportunity!
I have been dreaming of ordering Mimi's Romance invitation suite for months! Unfortunately, every time I visit her website I have to remind myself that letterpress is not in our budget. I've scoured the web, but nothing can compare to these lovelies. It would be a dream to have them be the first insight my guests receive into the evening we have planned for them. My September wedding will be held outdoors in a vineyard with the reception held at the vineyard's inn replicated after a 19th century french country chateau. Thanks so much for offering and hosting such a great giveaway!
I meant to include on my post above that my colors are jewel tones.
OH! I love every single one of these!! They are all simply classic. I especially adore the Botanicals set & The Quote. Our wedding is this fall and colors will be green, brown and a pop of orange. I would love to have letterpress invitations, but I just can't afford to have that in our budget. With this discount...it can happen!! :) Also...I was born in 78, is that a good luck sign? :)
i am loving the 'joy' invitation suite. it's simple, clean, and fun, very befitting of our casually modern wedding style. i love the bright yellow ink used, and would substituted the blue with our other wedding color, purple/eggplant. yellow and purple on a luxurious letterpress invite = love.
thanks for this opportunity!!!
The botanicals are absolutely stunning. My boyfriend and I are surprising our families in next Spring with a small wedding ceremony in our back yard. We are going to "spring" it on them last-minute because we are a spontaneous couple and we are down to earth and relaxed. We just want the party and to share the wedding with those we love, not the gifts or the big "to do." The botanicals line would perfectly represent our love of the outdoors and the event we'll have in our back yard. What a stunning collection!
In throwing any sort of soiree, the invite and correspondence is of a most crucial nature. Tasked with setting the tone and anticipation of the forthcoming event, the invite inherently whispers a booming message of style to all pending guests. In Mimi’s “In Love” collection, the invite seems to emanate an aura of mystique, glamour, and exquisite elegance. It can hardly be doubted that an event succeeding such a summons would be one that radiates the same grace and effortless beauty. All this to say, my vision for our wedding has always been just that: An event dripping in simplicity, elegance, and glamour that instantly conveys the beauty of being “In Love.” I have tried to showcase this by choosing the timeless colors of black and white and adding a slight trace of deep, dark purple in various features. Thus, the moment I set eyes on this “In Love” collection, it was like the cosmos truly aligned! These are exactly the invitations we have been looking for to coincide with the sentiment and classic style of our wedding.
For months I have been searching for the perfect invitation suite that matches the personality of my fiancé and I as a couple. I love color and all things funky while he loves all things simple and traditional. Our reception matches both of our styles with a formal mansion as the background of a fun and casual tented reception. The minute I saw the Joy collection I knew it was the perfect combination of a simple design with a funky twist of a bold graphic envelope liner and polka dot border. Our wedding colors are raspberry, orange and red and I can see the polka dots in orange with the remaining text in a berry color. The polka dots would perfectly coordinate with the polka dot calendar style save the date cards I found through Etsy. All together all of the invitations on the site are gorgeous.
Oops! I got so excited about the giveaway I forgot mention my colors. I've chosen dark eggplant with peachy pink and touches of green, gold, and brown. We're hoping to create a vintage inspired event with a romantic and warm feel. The flourishes of the Romance suite create that vintage feel with the butterflies adding a touch of nature.
HOLY. wow. This is amazing. Everything she makes is amazing, and I go to the Mika78 website continually for inspiration (and to dream a little). I've SO often wished I could swing her amazing invitations with our budget. This giveaway is unbelievable.
Ok, now to stop drooling and actually give information. I'd DEFINITELY go with "the quote". The style is perfect - classic, clean, and with a tree! Our wedding is in the fall, so the leaves in the wind are perfect too. My fiance plays mandolin, so it also has that connection. And, of course, the quote is unbelievable - I might have to incorporate it in our ceremony regardless of whether we win the drawing. While we don't have a strict color palette, we're inspired by the grass and old barns on the farm where the ceremony and reception will be, so we'd go with grass and metallic taupe. Goodness, I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
What an amazing opportunity!!
"the Chic" collection...Its vintage flair gives it a simple but formal flair that will pair perfectly with our day on the ranch playing croquet, exchanging some vows, and dancing the night away in the beautiful restored barn.
We say "I do" this coming fall and our colors are eggplant, rust, olive, and antique gold.
My fiance and I are getting married in November and are going for a more modern, classic vibe. I like the IN LOVE invitations because they are simple without a lot of illustrations.
Our colors are neutral (golden yellow/orange and dark brown).
The Blossoms suite perfectly depicts how I envision our wedding. We are getting married in Newport Rhode Island outdoors with a tent reception. Aside from an ocean backdrop, the venue also has acres of gardens and trees. To me, the suite is cheerful and unique with the perfect touch of whimsy. That is what I hope our wedding will be. It is also playful and captures the outdoors in the spring. The colors are bright, and the script style is modern. The combination is perfect.
Our colors are yellow, pink and gray. I chose the colors mainly because I love spring flowers in yellow, pink and white and most simply put, they make me happy. My bridesmaids are also choosing between styles in yellow and gray, very much like the blossoms collection.
I'm in love with the "chic" invitation suit! gorgeous
As a DC area couple we are planning to get married next spring when the cherry blossoms bloom around the tidal basin. The Blossoms collection would fit right in with that theme! Beautiful collections!
Its a toss up between Spring and In Love. They are very different, but both have the same luscious, modern feeling to them. Amazing work!
I would pick the divine Quote invite and RSVP card for my elegant garden-party wedding and I would personalize it with this quote from Edgar Allan Poe:
Hear the mellow wedding bells
Golden bells!
What a world of happiness their harmony foretells
Through the balmy air of night
How they ring out their delight!
Oh my goodness, what a dream come true! We've been working on designing our own invites to save some money, and let's just say it's been a rough road. It's hard to choose between these amazing invites, but I love The Quote suite. It is stunning, and would lend the perfect feel to our wedding, which is a celebration not only of our union, but of the family and friends which have been by our sides. My fiance's family is from Southern India, so the wedding will have some Indian touches - and this line of invites brings in some of the flourishes and flair (in the belly band) that we are going for. Our colors are shades of yellows with pops of coral here and there, which I think would be lovely in this invite!
Oh I'm so in love with letterpress! We'd recently decided to forgo letterpress to stay within our budget! If we won this contest we'd definitely be able to afford them! :)
We adore the 'Quote' set!!! Stunning! and that quote, it took my breath away!
We are getting married in Charleston, SC at Magnolia Plantation under an old Oak Tree draped in spanish moss.
Our colors are mostly greens and ivories with a few pops of Tiffany blue and copper.
thanks for yet another fabulous contest!
I am not ashamed, I am going to come right out and say it! I check the Style Me Pretty blog daily, and I crave the unique and inspiring images almost as much as I do my morning coffee! :) That is why when I hit a major road block in finding the “perfect” invitation for my wedding style I knew exactly where to go for help. As always, I definitely found exactly what I was looking for-the Botanicals line by Mika78. The colors I have chosen for my September wedding are black, fuchsia, and chartreuse…a combination that I couldn’t be more thrilled about, but a combination that is unfortunately also challenging to accessorize on a budget. Mika78’s Botanicals invite is simplistic and understated, yet at the same time is infused with energy and life. Regardless of whether or not I end of being selected for this fantastic giveaway, the invites have inspired a new twist on my wedding plans-thanks again Style Me Pretty!
I am absolutely in love with "In Love". It is just so simple, elegant, and beautiful - exactly what we are going for with our white/ivory/gold color palate. I am totally obsessed with quality paper and letterpress printing. It just has such a lovely, antique, quality feel. My fiance makes fun of me because whenever I get an invitation in the mail I hold it up to the light and feel it before I even read it. I just love how even through pictures you can tell that Mika78's paper and letterpress printing process are exceptional. I wish I could reach through the computer and feel that gorgeous paper!
I have to say that a wedding invitation is one of the most important decisions I have yet to make in this whole wedding process. Reason being is that I am particualrly picky as to what I will send to my guests. I mean the invitiation is your guests first glimpse of your weddings true style and feel right?
Although all of Mika 78's invitiations are beyond beautiful, my favorite is the Luxe suite. Its simple elegance and touch of mondernism makes this invitation a timeless classic; a true reflection of what I hope and aspire our wedding to be :)
We are getting married at a small country inn and garden in in August in the Central Valley Wine Country of California. My colors are mink (a mocha color), creams and hints of buttery/golden yellow.
29 seems to be a lucky number to my fiance and I as we are both born on the 29th, his birthday in June, mine in January and we're saying out "I do" on the 29th of August as well.
Beautiful work!
I, which owuld be a perfect fir for our upc
I have to say that a reflection as to what your wedding will be right?!
it is the first sneek peek as to what your wedding is going to be right?
I adore all of mika 78's collection but I'm truly in love with "the quote". The simple design and the symbol of the tree reflects my perspective and beliefs of marriage - strong and serene. My wedding will be in spring 2010 and it will be in a rustic and beautiful farm place. I have always wanted to be married under a tree. The simplicity of the design along with the quote is just perfect to represents our marriage. And my wedding colors of muted gray, lilac and coral which are the predicted colors for spring wedding for 2009 will always be my wedding colors.
SevenEight rocks!
We have been looking for invitations we feel are “us” for the last couple weeks. Today, when I looked at Mika78 invitations, In Love took my breath away. Not just because they are so beautiful and classy, but because my fiancé and I have know each other for a very long time and in Jr. High we would write notes to each other to pass in class, every time we put it in a envelope we would add our names in the envelope liner like this invitation. In Love is what we have been looking for...something that is us!
I love love love these. I adore letter press, but I didn't want to give up the dream of seeing my name written in calligraphy, but the Mika 78 invitations have the best of both! I would have a hard time choosing between Romance, The Quote, and The Monogram. Romance because it has such beautiful swirls and the butterflies. My cousin passed away suddenly a few years ago and his parents (my godparents) think of him when they see butterflies so I think it would a sweet way to remember someone that I would have dearly loved to have with me on my wedding day. I love the quote because we're having an Oct. 16th wedding so not only is it a beautiful sentiment, but I love the falling leaves for that time of year. Finally the monogram i think would best fit the style of our venue. The reception is at the Hotel Monaco in DC. It has a seriously fun and eclectic vibe the my fiance and I fell in love with. Also, fitting for a DC wedding it's a historic building so it has this rich history of being the first marble building in DC, the post office general, where Samuel Morse sent the first telegram, and the ballroom was a civil war hospital. I want something that fits the eclectic decor of the hotel and the rich history and I think the styling of both Romance and monogram reflect that best. Color wise I'm doing aubergine bridesmaid dresses, white flowers with lots of greenery, and my favorite--I'll be wearing sapphire colored peep toe heels. I think maybe dark green linens to make the white flowers pop! Man I'm so excited--I can't believe I can't get married tomorrow and have these gorgeous invitations!
Invitations can be
like an enveloping sea
for an indecisive bride to be
But if the winner was I,
for 'Spring' I would vie
Which conjures a new love
growing
up
up
up
to the sky!
Wedding colors: navy, lavender, and gold
I'm IN LOVE with "In Love." I'm IN LOVE with the simplicity to it, especially because our wedding has no defined colors, but is more romantic naturals. I'm IN LOVE with the swirls and swooshes on the top and clean lines on the bottom. I'm IN LOVE with Mika78 and hope I can share the beautiful invitations to our special day with our closest family and friends!
"The Quote" is the one for me!! We are getting married this fall at some old 1930's hunting cabins in my hometown. The ceremony is going to take place by the lake under the huge trees surrounding the site. I have chosen some invitations on Wedding Paper Divas site, but have not ordered them yet. The letterpress invitations are so beautiful but unfortunately they are not within our budget. The exact qoute on these invitations is what I had planned on being printed on our wedding programs. I think it is so beautiful and represents our love perfectly.
Our wedding colors are expresso brown and fall colors (burnt orange, reds, yellows, and some green)
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION is literally what comes to mind when I look at the BOTANICALS COLLECTION.
I have been admiring Mimi's designs for months and this is such a generous and exciting opportunity! These invitations are incredibly unique and beyond perfect for our wedding. Botanicals has a vintage feel with a modern twist which is exactly what I'm going for in planning our wedding. I (and my fiance :) ) would be overwhelmingly delighted to win this contest and be able to send out these beautiful invitations to our closest friends and family. I can picture one framed on our bookshelf already!
Thank you for such a great opportunity Abby and Mimi!
I first came across Mika78 on this very website. It was love at first sight. I have been searching for the perfect invitation for my wedding for several months now and when I saw the invitations from Mika78, I knew they were the one. I went on the website and fell in love with both the Romance and Luxe collections. I invisioned my wedding to be soft, romantic, a bit of vintage Paris with soft pinks, champagne, and cream as my colors. Both Romance and Luxe gave me that feeling. When I received my sample invitations in the mail, Romance was the one that gave me that romantic and whimsical feeling.
I am a big paper fan and I have never touched paper quite as soft as the ones from Mika78. When the samples came in the mail, I was giddy beyond belief. Everything was so well packaged together and I was like a child opening up a gift on Christmas Day! Beautiful beautiful invitations....thank you for giving us this opportunity to win!
My fiancé and I have been searching for the perfect letterpress invitation suite for months now (he’s been such a trooper) and feel head over heels for the "In Love" collection. The invitation's script is pure old-world elegance, which appeals to me, while the lining – can you believe you how AMAZING that detail is – reflects my fiancé’s more architectural/linear design aesthetic. It’s as if the invitation was designed as a representation of us.
Our colors are deep blue and fresh, peridot green. I kinda swoon just thinking about how lovely the invite would look in navy letterpress with that light green liner. Perfect!
More than anything, what I really love about this invitation is that the focus is on the couple’s names. It reminds that, at the end of the day, weddings are about the love two people share and their need to share it with the world!
Thank you SO much Abby and Mimi!
"Luxe" is the perfect opening act for my wedding. It's simple, but fun, elegant but not too stuffy. It is so important to me that the tone of my wedding is reflected in my invitations and "Luxe" does just that. My entire wedding takes place outdoors beginning at sunset and on through the night under a cluster of oak trees. My color palette is charcoal and cotton candy with black for contrast. More than anything I want my wedding guests to enjoy every piece of our wedding. From beginning to end.
Thank You for your wonderful work!
I am absolutely in love with the Botanicals design. Its flawless. Sigh, a girl can dream...
oops sorry last post got cut off.
I am absolutely in love with the Botanicals design. Its flawless. We're planning a classic wedding updated with a modern color scheme: yellow & grey. Sigh, a girl can dream…
As a Designer, it is hard to find "exactly" what you are looking for in any creative decision. But, Mika78 has made it very easy to fall in love with their beautiful designs and creative spirit. Their collections embody all that we could ever want as brides for our Wedding day stationary. The gorgeous calligraphy, the texture of the letterpress, and the creative designs evoke a sense of modern nostalgia.
For my Fall wedding, I adore "the quote" collection. I think it sums up my entire wedding vision. The tree with the falling leaves, the romantic quote, and the overall design would look so rich in my Dark Chocolate and Chartreuse green color scheme.
I look forward to sending them to all my friends and family!
I'm in love with the Chic and the Romantic sets...and I have been admiring them from afar for quite some time. They are nothing I can afford but to match my Roaring 20's, ritzy evening affair (with a country farmhouse twist) - I think they would be perfect. Our colors reflect this amazing stone bracelet my fiance gave me when first planning out wedding, it was his promise that he was in for all the hardships of planning my dream wedding. The bracelet contains chartreuse, amber tones, rich brown, and jewel toned purples and violets. We aren't trying to limit ourselves by the colors too much...but it's the delicate and sophisticated style that we want to portray that matters the most...all of these elegant sets would set the tone. I would adore sending such works of art out to our guest while honoring Mika78's one of a kind style. This would be a dream come true.
What a wonderful discount and giveaway! For me, "Joy" is the perfect invitation suite because I truly hope that if nothing else, our wedding imparts a sense of joy to our guests - the joy that my fiance and I will have from both getting married and from celebrating with our closest family and friends. Moreover, the Joy suite imparts the precise style we are striving to convey with our wedding: modern, simple, bright, and happy. That being said, letterpress is completely out of our budget. As a person who lusts over paper and invites (I obsess over invitation suites, not dresses), this was a very difficult budget decision to make but one that was necessary since we are paying for the entire wedding.
Thanks again for the giveaway and to Mimi for such fantastic inspiration!
My fiance and I looked at these and fell in love with Blossoms because it is so simple, and classic. We are doing lots of colour in our wedding, and many shades of each colour. We are leaning to a niceb right yellow for our invites. Where as our bridesmaids are in rich plum purples, and the groom and his men are in lilac. The flower girls and ring bearers are in greens. And our cake is blue, along with our mother's outfits. So as you can tell... lots of colour! We want our wedding to be vibrant, and filled with the excitement and fun of a normal family get together.
I have decided that my fiance and I are going to hold weddings on our anniversary every year for the next five years so I can have the opportunity to shop for and wear 5 different beautiful gowns (all different styles, of course), 5 gorgeous pairs of shoes and have 5 different color schemes and invitation styles. I have read Captain Corelli's Mandolin and it is one of the most beautiful, yet sad, love stories I have ever read. Just reading The Quote tugs at my heart strings and gets me teary eyed thinking about the story. The love that I feel for my future husband is a lot like that. It is the best feeling in the world to know that in October we will stand with all of our loved ones around us and share the love that we have for eachother with them. Our wedding color is plum with light gold accents.
My fiance and I are both in love with the Mika78 "In Love" suite design. It's both simple and elegant, plus it would allow me to have something beautiful and feminine without being too girly for him since it's still modern. We hadn't thought we could afford to do letterpress invitations, but this would be just too perfect if we won!
The color palate for our winter wedding is going to be a spin on the old black and white - but instead we're using slate gray, ivory and chartreuse. I think the In Love stationary would look beautiful on ivory cardstock with the charcol ink. Thank you for hosting this contest, it's a great opportunity!
I love them all, but keep coming back to the Quote - I just love the sentiment, and the invitation itself is beautiful. We are trying not to commit to a set color scheme, but will have lots of green (we're getting married in a garden), with some gray, cream and pale pink (our flowers will be mostly peonies). We're really looking for simple, classic invitations that reflect our personality - I think these would be just perfect!
"In Love" is hands down not only my favorite design on Mimi's site, but my favorite wedding invitation I have seen since my wedding invitation search began. It is elegant, classic, and sophisticated, but that envelope liner makes me swoon! It says, "hey, this might be an elegant and classy affair, but Becca and Ari are still a fun and lighthearted."
and as for our wedding colors...a white wedding with some sparkle of metallic and pop of color with Black Magic Roses, raspberry Peonies, and those dark dark Calla Lilies that I can't get enough of!
I have been in love with the "In Love" design for weeks now! I first found Mika78 on Style Me Pretty. The style of our November wedding is Old Hollywood Glamour, so this suite is absolutely perfect for us! This fabulous giveaway would make a dream come true, for sure!
Our color palate is fuchsia and taupe. I first saw the color scheme in Martha Stewart Weddings.
http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/fuchsia-and-taupe
Our reception is at the W Hotel in Dallas, and we are having a rat-pack inspired band, plenty of candlelight, and champagne served in saucers. My dress is a trumpet silhouette with a beaded bodice, and I will wear a long veil during the church ceremony. We are departing the church in a taupe colored Rolls Royce Phantom.
We have much of the event planned, but no invitations yet!
The Mika78 "In Love" suite is PERFECT for our wedding.
Please consider us for this fabulous giveaway!
Cheers,
Mary
JOY is simply cheerful!
Which is also what I was hoping for with a color palette of blues (I love that there are so many in this line!)
I especially love the shape of the luggage tag pieces on the post as my fiance and I have traveled the world, lived on opposite coasts, been in 4 cities in 4 years, and decided to pay homage to that travel in our wedding.
I have to say, it was no contest when I picked the design I would use from Mika78's collection. My fiance is a musician, and I met him when he was playing the mandolin, which he is now teaching me to play for our wedding to surprise our families - So anything relating to Mandolins is fun for us. When I read the words used on The Quote design my heart started racing - I felt as though it had been created especially for us. I moved back to a small town in Georgia after living in two years in Los Angeles, and to come home and find someone whose roots, like mine, go deep, has been a dream come true.
We are planning on marrying in a bed and breakfast in town which is actually a renovated building that used to belong to my family. We are holding to a vintage feel that the letterpress will suit beautifully, and our colors are muted earth tones, specifically creams, mossy green and silver-blue.
OMG! The Quote makes my heart sing and skip a beat...that's how I know it's the one!..just like my fiance. That beautiful quote will find it's way into our wedding now...thanks for the inspiration! We love the outdoors and are planning a garden wedding at an aboretum...surrounded by lovely mature trees. I would love to send these letterpress beauties to our guests...Winning this contest would really upgrade our little budget wedding. Our colors are grass green, chartreuse, ivory, and a pop of bright yellow.
I love the entire collection and I was torn between the Quote and blossoms. I would probably go with the Quote because it was the same quote that I used when I was asked by my best friend to officiate at her wedding. I spent hours looking at websites about wedding passages and everything seemed so cliche and it wasn't until I read Captain Corelli's Mandolin that I realize how perfect that resonates of the type of love that we should all strive for. My fiance and I are getting married at the end of the year and I love the vintage look, I love that the print reminds me of times past. My colors will be pale pink with green.
im loving 'the quote' invitation. we're getting married on the grounds of an old florida plantation style museum underneath the century old liveoaks. the quote is such a perfect representation of our ceremony and gives so much meaning for our lives to come. :) thank you so much for giving all of us this opportunity!

The Luxe suite exemplifies my idea of simple elegance. The suite is beautiful and would look amazing in our black, antique gold and ivory color scheme. And who doesn't love a beautifully designed belly band! :)
I was so excited to find this giveaway in my Google reader tonight - just this afternoon, I sent my fiance an email with 15 different links to various designs. I have been having a tough time finding beautiful, modern invitations to fit in our budget, and this generous giveaway would be such a help!
The "Blossom" design would complement our late-spring wedding perfectly. Our wedding colors (and 75% of both of our wardrobes) are navy blue and green, and I would love to see the Blossom suite in those colors.
"the quote" is perfect for us in every way! we're having a destination wedding in boracay island, philippines and going for a rustic-romantic theme, with lots of soft pink, gray and turquoise. "the quote" is soothing in its simplicity, like the waters of the beach, and the words reflect our jobs as writers. too, captain corelli's mandolin was one of the hottest first dates i've had with my fiance. wink, wink. 8 )
I absolutely love "the quote" invitation suite because there will be a tree theme at my wedding. i love the falling leaves, especially on the RSVP card. my colors are yellow, green and white and i think this suite would fit perfectly with the elegant yet simple feel I am hope to achieve.
All of Mika's designs are beautiful, but I have to say my absolute favorite is "spring". The stationary is absolutely stunning. It is so unique and I feel it is completely perfect for our Spring wedding. We are getting married on top of my favorite mountain (it's such a special place, my entire family is from there)and our colors and gray, marigold, and blue. I think this set would be BEAUTIFUL in those colors! We are on a tight budget in this economy, my father just started a new job and my fiance just got laid off, and this suite would be a perfect thing to add a little elegance to our event.
Wow, I would find it much easier to pick an invitation suite that I DON'T love instead of picking a favorite. I absolutely adore "Blossoms" as well as "The Quote." That said, I think "Joy" is my absolute favorite. It is simple and cheerful, which fits our wedding perfectly. The colors for our August wedding are eggplant and grass green - bright and cheerful!
I absolutely love "The Quote"! It's the perfect combination of fresh elegance and the actual quote from Corelli's Mandolin is beautiful. Our wedding colors are sky blue, raspberry, and chocolate brown. We are getting married in an old distillery, which has beautiful exposed wooden beams and brick walls. Mika's invitation design will be an amazing way to ask our guests to join in our special day!
Love the invites! So clean and modern just perfect design for my wedding!
Every time I've checked out Mika78, I always come back to the blossoms set. My fiance and I are getting married next May in Atlanta, and the vibrant blooms are a perfect evocation of that time of year here and the tone we want to set for our wedding! Atlanta is in full bloom in April and May - forsythia, azaleas, dogwoods, redbud, cherry and peach trees - and we love to take walks through our neighborhood and Piedmont Park to take in the beautiful scenery. Our wedding ceremony won't be outside (can't have an organ play an outdoor wedding!), so this would be a wonderful way to incorporate our love of nature into our wedding. As for colors, my bridesmaids will be in a cornflower blue, most likely. Since that's not a common color on the trees down here, I would choose scarlet or coral pink - something bold and joyful - for the blossom color.
I love them all, its the small details that make them so amazing (like the names on the envelope liners). But the style I would chose for my wedding would be Blossoms, because they are so beautiful and remind me of the wedding flowers we are hoping to have at the wedding. My mom is going to do the flowers and is going to grow most of them in her yard/garden. Our colors are going to be bright fuchsia, blue and purple. I can't even explain how happy I would be if you picked us, as we don't have much money left for our wedding, and I am planning to DIY my invites but am struggling creatively.
Oh gosh, all of these are gorgeous...but I think the "In Love" collection captures the chic, glam feel we're going for and would best compliment the grandeur of our ceremony and reception setting (a beautiful Louisiana River Road plantation). We've chosen navy blue as our main color with ivory and chartreuse accents, which we think will provide delightful contrast against the yellow facade of the home.
Thanks for this amazing opportunity!
I've been a fan of the whole collection since learning about Mika78 from Style Me Pretty. I seriously look at their site each week to swoon over all the designs and dream about possibly having my very own set of invites for our wedding in 2010. "Romance" would be the perfect suite for our wedding. Our theme is romantic Parisian elegance and our venue is a mansion made of marble on a hill of granite. The colors are lilac, sage and taupe.
I am obsessed with letterpress, but we sadly decided that it was too much for our budget. I would be jumping up and down for joy if we won this contest because it would be our only chance. I love all of Mika 78's designs, but I would choose "Romance" because it has that whimsical, vintage feel that we are going for. We are having our wedding in New Orleans, a city we both adore and the place where we got engaged, and I think this invitation conveys the charm of the city and would make everyone really excited to come to our wedding!
First, let me say what an amazing offer! I visit Style Me Pretty daily to admire all the gorgeous pictures and gather inspiration. While I'm not traditionally a girl who cares about paper, I have fallen in love with letter press invitations during this whole wedding planning process. That being said, I do not anticipate being able to afford them.
Since my fiancee' and I are getting married under the huge oak trees at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, "The Quote" suite could not be more perfect. Anyone who has been to New Orleans, can testify to the amazing strength the oak tree's roots. It is our goal to make our celebration as meaningful as possible. I feel that the quote, along the image of the tree, really captures what we mean to each other. To top it off, I was a nerdy English major in college, so I love literary allusions. Our wedding colors are eggplant and light green.
Thanks Mika78 for such a generous offer!
For so many years, I have made my own plans and followed my own dreams. Never had I imagined that I would find someone that I would want to not only spend the rest of my life with but actually plan and dream together. "The Quote" perfectly captures how as individuals, we are stronger if we face life's journey together. This is what my partner has inspired in our relationship and what I hope our friends and families are able to witness in our celebration. This design perfectly sets the tone for our event.
Our wedding colors are seaform green, melon (coral pink) and brown.
How lovely! Our wedding is this December and even though it's winter we want to have beautiful flowers to soften up the space. We are getting married in an old house in Asheville, NC and although the wood paneling is gorgeous, we wanted to offset that with brighter colors - so we are doing celydon green and white. Even though flowers are usually associated with Spring, they are an important part of our wedding and so the "Botanical" invitations would be perfect for us!
I ADORE "In Love" -- after perusing Mika78 about a month ago - I immediately forwarded on to my mom and bookmarked the site and blog for inspiration. In Love is so classically beautiful and I love love love the touch on the inside of the envelope. Adore is the right word. It would be PERFECT for our June 2010 wedding in Chicago :)
Dear Mika - I love the romance letterpress design - its exquisite. I met Matt in high school and I am now teaching and in graduate school so our money is pretty tight but we are going to be married the day after Christmas this year. My mom & I are going to get invites from Michaels & try our hand at invites since we are watching our money but I definitely drool over your designs! Thank you for the great offer and good luck with your business.
John and I met when I was 17, we dated for seven years, and in early January of this year, he proposed!! We are getting married in the Fall and I already can't wait!! When I began planning for my wedding I knew the paper involved in our big day had to play a big part. I am all about first impressions and last impressions and my decisions about invitations to favour tags has to be perfect.
I fell in love with Mika78 the minute SMP showed them to us in early April. I visit the Mika78 Web site from time to time and swoon over all the perfectly planned details, gorgeous fonts, and incredible graphics. I know I would never be able to afford them but that didn't stop me...I have a bookmark for you and whenever I am in a bad mood, I visit to get a little fix, a little fix of pure loveliness. If my Fiance and I were picked for this INCREDIBLE discount and could have these GORGEOUS invitations for my November 21 vintage inspired wedding, I would be "faint on the spot" excited! I already know exactly which one I want. The "Chic" invitation collection is the one for John and I. Our colors are espresso, gold, marigold, and ivory. Our day will be warm, timeless, classic and simply about our love for one another. PLEASSEEEEEEE (yes, I am begging a little!) pick us - John and Katie for this amazing giveaway!!!
I adore "The Quote". My mother puts quotes and poems in all her letters and cards to me. This reminds me of her and makes me smile. thank you.
Wow, this was a terribly difficult choice. I have to say, I immediately fell in love with both Quote and Chic. Pat and I are planning a sort of shaddy chic wedding in a small town outside of the city. It's a historic inn with a ton of Character (note the capital C ;D) during the early fall. Our colours are brown, golds, aubergines and greens, so both collections suited us. Quote won me over in the end, with a quotation that so perfectly suited Pat and I, and how we have grown together over the 8 years of our relationship. We have become even closer through the great (many weddings and beautiful babies) and the heartbreaking (both of our fathers passed away over the last couple of years) which has completely reshaped our lives. I would love to represent that with that line from Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Money is very tight for Pat and I, so we are probably going to have to either make our own invitations or buy a much simpler set. Thank you for this opportunity.
I am so completely overwhelmed with schoolgirl excitement for the Monogram suite! It is vintage chic meets classic couture and would be perfect for any formal affair! I am a huge fan of the custom monogram for wedding invitations, its such a great way of portraying the fusion of two becoming one. It also sets your printed material apart from the rest, truly a one of a kind! I am smitten with this perfect blend of vintage, whimsy, style and class!!! Our November wedding will be coloured in simple black and white with fresh lemon yellow to accent. With the budget tight, I'm doing oodles of research on how to make a DIY invitation that doesnt skimp on the quality, but.....Mika78 gives me reason to throw caution to the wind!! Incredible invites, StyleMePretty, you've done it again!
My heart has long been set on letterpress, but alas, all the other costs involved are putting a damper on that idea. My first invitation store took our deposit and didn't do anything -at all. My 2nd invitation store spelled my name wrong so many times on our proofs (8 different proofs to get name right and they spelled the church wrong on the last), I lost faith, thanked them and at this point I'm thinking I'll have to do it myself or perhaps just start calling all my guests (jk)!!! If we won, I'd have a really good invitiation store to work with and of course the most beautiful invites a girl could ever wish for!!! I would be so grateful to not have this invitation phobia!
"Spring" is so perfect for my late August 2009 wedding! We are searching for the perfect invitation (and need to order asap!) and this is it. Our wedding is going to be outdoors in the Fingerlakes in upstate New York. Our colors are bright pink and grey (with a few yellow/lemon accents). Its going to be simple, slightly rustic, with a Tuscan feel... lots of good food, music, wine... we just need the perfect inivtation to tie it together!
Oh wow - these are fantastic! Invitations are the very first impression guests get of your weddingand it's oh so important to set the right tone. As a bride with a budget, winning this contest would be an absolute dream come true and my guests would get the exact impression that I'd like to give. My wedding style is classy with a touch of fun, so Luxe collection in Ocean Mist would be perfect!
What a generous offer! These collections are truly a work of art. I'm getting married in the fall of 2010, and the "Blossoms" collection is PERFECT!!!!
My colors are green (olive), crimson, deep orange, and yellow. The Blossoms collection is simple, carefree, and exactly what I want my wedding to convey. Lovely invites!
Thank you for this!
I am head over heels for the In Love invitation suite. It exudes elegance, is in a timeless classic style, has a very romantic feel with beautiful jaw dropping calligraphy. I think this invitation suite would be perfect for our seaside chic wedding. The calligraphy mimicks the ocean and the print would be stunning in the Ocean Mist or Azure font color. Mika78 has an amazing assortment of letterpress invites and their site is so nice and easy to navigate. Planning a wedding on a tight budget is always tough so winning this would be an absolute dream come true!
I am literally drooling over the Botanicals family...scarlet ink on artisan natural paper, some hints of metallic gold. These are truly the invitations of my dreams and I would be forever grateful for a chance to have Mika 78 gems be the first thing my friends and family see! Sending out these invitations would set the stage for our elegant, DIY backyard summer wedding next year. I could never afford these invitations on my own, but a 78% discount could make my dreams come true!
Swoon...:)
"The Quote" would be absolutely perfect for my November wedding! I JUST got engaged and we are SO excited about our fall wedding. These beautiful invitations perfectly fit in our tree/leaf theme. Our colors are navy blue and green. We are sending "Save the Date" cards inspired by the book The Giving Tree. I would be so grateful to receive these gorgeous invitations at the discounted price. I LOVE the quotation at the bottom of the card-SO beautiful!!!!
My fiance and I are getting married this coming August. We are having an outdoor wedding and our colors are bright pink and gray with hints of yellow throughout. The Blossoms collection is the embodiment of everything she is: classic, beautiful, stylish and sophisticated without pretension. In a word- perfect. We have had to sacrifice certain aspects of the wedding because they were too expensive. I would love to be able to tell her I found the perfect invitations and they were within our budget.
The Blossoms Suite is my favorite. It's fantabulous!! The design has the perfect blend of modern sleekness and whimsy. My fiance and I are having our ceremony and reception at the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Diego in September. These invitations are so clean and fresh, which is perfect because the entire wedding will be outdoors. The blossoms on the invitation suite are reminiscent of cherry blossoms. Our wedding colors will either be yellow and grey (in which case the invitations are perfect as shown on the website) or deep magenta, bright orange, and kermit green. Your giveaway is so generous, and it would be a huge honor to be selected as the winner!
Amid all my planning (I’m in the early stages given our wedding will be in the spring of 2010) the only item I've adhered to for certain is the image of a tree as an ongoing theme throughout that day. As an art lover and self diagnosed quote fanatic, I must say that it is very serendipitous that while looking to be inspired in other areas I came across this amazing opportunity! I love to scrapbook and decided to look into making my own invitations not only because it allows me to be in control of the design but also out of necessity. You see, my mom is beyond ecstatic to be a mother of the bride for the first time and wants to help us pay for everything. However as a recent cancer patient thankfully in remission now, she had to undergo too many doctors appointments and procedures to count which left us in a bit of a financial bind. So to help ease our overall costs (since she is relentlessly stubborn about helping out financially, and I love her even more because of it) we are looking to scale down in every area. The invitation however is the first touch point for guests and sets the tone for the entire event and this is an amazing opportunity to get to use “The Quote” suite to help us set the perfect tone for our celebration!
What an amazing discount! I love all of these collections but I think the "Joy" suite would best fit our wedding style. We are getting married in June of 2010 and our wedding colors are black, white and charcoal with a hint of green throughout (my mother said that we HAD to have some kind of color) :) We're going for more of a modern look which is why I think Joy would be the perfect fit for us!
Thank you so much for this generous offer to all of us SMP followers!!
I cannot explain my love affair with stationery. I can spend hours in a stationery store and not get bored and although it may be sort of silly, I have slowly collected a small box of letterpress cards over the years because they are just too beautiful to throw away.
I have been looking for wedding invitations since our engagement and it has been tough. I love the look and feel of letterpress, but once again my tastes exceed my budget.
I think the Botanicals invitation set in cornflower and espresso would be perfect for our March wedding. My fiance has always given me roses for special occasions and although he may be too macho to say it, I believe they are his favorite flower.
I cannot think of a better way to entice our guests to come to our wedding in our new hometown of Charlottesville than with such beautiful invitations!
"In Love" is my favorite, and best fits our wedding's theme.
My mother has been taking calligraphy lessons to make our wedding that much more special and personal. I think "In Love" would suit her writing style and our wedding perfectly!
The colors of our October wedding are eggplant, pear, and greens.
After a 2 year+ engagement, my fiance and I have recently managed to buy a home in the DC area and we are planning to get married in our own backyard this September! We are very excited to be having our wedding in such a personal location that represents a major milestone in our lives. We envision lots of plants and flowers around us, and the "Blossoms" collection is a perfect representation of the feeling we're going for - modern, beautiful and relaxed. I've been gravitating toward either a color palette of brights - fuschia, tangerine and cherry (to pop against the greens in our yard), or a green, grey and white palette.
Letterpress invitations have long been top on my list of things I would do if I had unlimited funds, and Mika78's designs are some of the best I've ever seen. Thanks for this giveaway, it's very generous!
The description of the paper used by Mika 78 alone has me swooning! It sounds like a soft fluffy cloud I would love to wrap myself up in! We are having a fun, modern, wedding that is all about the PARTY...so the Joy Family is a perfect fit to give our guests a sneek peak of what to expect. Our colors are chocolate brown with champagne and burnt orange accents, so the rich expresso and orange colors offered by Mika 78 would work perfectly!
When I saw the sprint design in the above pictures I knew those were the ones I would pick! My fiance and I both love the rustic look of these invitations (which is rare considering we have very different tastes)! We're getting married outside, and the reception is going to be held in a barn that's on the property. Our colors are blossom and chocolate with a little sage green as well! These invitations would perfectly represent the style/image we want people to have of our wedding when they get the invitation in the mail.
We previously had the invitations picked out, but hadn't ordered them, and because of the economy our wedding budget has been cut dramatically, and unfortunately one of the first things to go was beautiful letter-pressed invitations like these!
We would be so grateful for the opportunity to send out the spring invitation suite to our guests!
-Mary
These inviations are so stunning i want to cry - or think about giving up other things in my wedding to have them. We're having a big ballroom wedding with over 200 guests, and paying for everything ourselves so my fiance and i haven't allocated such a large budget for the invites - please please pick us - we'd be every so grateful and delirious with happiness!
Each collection from Mika78 is amazing in its own right, but my fave would have to be Blossoms - it's fresh, simple yet evocative and conjures so much hope and joy - perfect to mark the beginning of our new life together. I can't help my smile when i look at them! The colour combo is also the exact hues we have picked for our wedding, and the design is not overly feminine so I know my fiance will be thrilled with them too. I also love the gorgeous lined envelopes with the simple tagline of the couple's names between the heart - reminds me of what I used to scrawl all over my diary when we first fell in love back in high school...:)
Thank you Abby for posting such a thrilling giveaway and to Mika78 for creating such beauty!
I really liked the "Romance" invitations. The sweet baby pink ink and the romantic fonts evoke fairytale love. The borders are so pretty and elegant and I also adore how the butterflies do not overwhelm the the invitations but compliment the overall romance theme. Also I really heart the envelope liners, its little touches and details like that that I feel complete this set and make me truely love this collection.
I think I have a crush on three different sets, but the one that really made me melt was the In Love set. We both are pretty unfussy, sometimes cynical, sarcastic people but when we're together, all of that kind of fades away. And that's what I saw with that set-- just kind of, unbridled happiness. I love the little touch on the envelope and all of the free-flowing lines. I think it fits both of us and what we're planning really well. We are getting married at a vineyard close to our home with only our closest family and friends. While the only theme for the day is love and everything that comes with it, we're doing a lot of creamy neutral colors-- lots of dark brown, cream, ivory. I think these would be the perfect way to prepare our guests for the crazy vintage lovefest to come.
I LOVE Mika78 and would love to have her do my invitation suite. My favorite is the Luxe line, it is the perfect mix of traditional, modern, whimsy and is also not too feminine or masculine. It would look perfect with off-white or ivory paper with the font colors in espresso brown and pomegranate red, my wedding colors. We are having an intimate celebration with our closest family members and I would love to share my appreciation for fine stationary with them through one of Mika's wedding invitation suites. It would be a dream come true!
My fiancée (yes, this is the groom to be) was talking about the 'Chic' collection for weeks. I decided to check them out and fell in love too. We're going for a vintage but very relaxed wedding, and these not only look amazing, but appear in our colors on Mika78's website. I know my fiancée loves this collection - she doesn't stop talking about them - and was ecstatic when we saw mika78 on here.
I'm doing my best to surprise her with everything she wants, so I'll have to see if I can make "Chic" part of our budget!
I first visited the Mika78 site when I saw the original post on Style Me Pretty. As a lover of all things paper (and, admittedly, an indecisive bride), I was having a hard time finding "THE" invitation. Each of the countless invitation suites I came across was lacking that little "something." As soon as I saw the "In Love" and "The Quote" invitation suites, I needed a closer look!
I ordered samples of each, and the quality and attention to detail is simply stunning. My wedding is in September 09 and my colors are raspberry and apple green, so I really liked the use of the nontraditional fall colors of the "The Quote" suite, but I also love the sweeping calligraphy of the "In Love" suite. If I had to choose, I think it would be the latter for its elegant simplicity - my everyday mantra!
The Monogram suite in a neutral palette of espresso and gold would be absolutely ideal for our barn wedding. Our flowers will come straight from my mother's amazing garden, so we don't really have "colors" - whatever mother nature and Mother choose! The Monogram suite is simple and festive (not to mention stunning) and will work with whatever flowers we end up with. Perfect for us - especially since we share our first initial! Thanks for the wonderful offer!
I ADORE Mika78 and would love to have her invitations for my wedding! My favorite in The Collection is the Botanicals (but I also adore the Sweet!). We are having our wedding in a city-owned botanical garden in Florida that has amazing roses, camellias, and other flora. It's in February- so the colors are going to by very romantic--pinks and bits of dark burgundy. I am just graduating grad school and my fiance still has time left in his grad program. We are trying to do a beautiful wedding under $10,000. I thought about making our invitations (we wanted to spend less than $300 on invitations) because I haven't been able to find beautiful ones at a low price. But I was so overwhelmed at the idea of making them and realized I couldn't make ones as beautify as Mika78! We would LOVE LOVE LOVE this opportunity to get our DREAM invitations! Invitations really set the tone for the wedding. I envision keeping mine in a beautiful frame like my parents' invitation--which has beautifully commemorated their wedding day for over 30 years--displayed in a dark frame with hand-carved roses.
I am in love with the ‘joy’ invitation suite. it’s so simple and so fun everything we hope our casual wedding day to be! We will both be J.J.J. after the wedding and this suite has the best font! We will be using deep purples with all shades of green to accent our outdoor ceremony and tent reception.
The Joy collection is the perfect blend of contemporary simplicity and refined elegance for our wedding. We want the evening to be sophisticated by still feel casual--everyone from our friends who run hedge funds to those who are still struggling through their Ph.Ds (like us!) should feel comfortable. The simple but sophisticated Joy design sends just the message we're trying to convey. And our own wedding colors are not far off of those on display on the website. We will use the same blue (our venue is a park district building that used to be a country club so it's very art deco and has blue highlights that are just the color in the invite) but will use a bright orange instead of the yellow. We would be thrilled to be able to use these invitations!
The fiance is told he's dapper and I'm told I'm stylish. With that in mind, we've been looking for invitations that are timeless and classic. We found some in a bridal magazine but they were completely out of our price range. We were thinking of trying to re-create them ourselves but then I saw this post and saw the collection of "In Love." I was as giddy as a schoolgirl, giggling like a geisha and practically peep my pants with the excitement of the possibility of getting these 78% off! OMG! We're having a fall wedding with some Latin influence thrown in as we're both of Latino descent. The colors will be fall (think scarlet and eggplant) with pops of colors (very berry and orange) with accents of silver or charcoal. It sounds like a lot of colors but it won't be Punky Brewster style, trust me. These invites would be perfect!
the Quote invitation is such a beautiful combination of color, texture and words! i love the simplicity of it! the design allows you to focus on the bride and groom's names and special quote used express the joy they feel as a couple. this would suit our wedding perfectly as we want the theme of our wedding to really reflect the single most important part of our wedding celebration...the excitement of our two lives coming together.
ps- our colors are almost exactly like the sample invite...beautiful muted midnight blue (to match my sapphire engagement ring) and salmon shade.

The Romance Collection reflects not only my wedding style but my fiancé Jacob’s style as well. I still feel as dizzy as I did the first time I met him in college four years ago. He is a true romantic and between roses under my car, good morning notes on the mirror and breakfast in bed he makes me fall in love with him over and over again. Jacob is also a bedroom musician and is composing a song to sing to me at our November wedding. Champagne, ivory and bronze will paint our intimate family wedding. The Romance Collection would set the perfect tone for the most romantic day of my life!
Airy, free-spirited, simple and sweet. No matter how many magazines I devour or how many blogs I peruse, I keep coming back to the same invitation: Mika78’s Blossoms. From the unique horizontal design to the breezy blossom floating across the top, I’ve fallen head over heels for this whimsically elegant design. The bright yellow blossoms and sugary pink invitation details are perfect for our lakeside spring wedding next April.
Until then, I’ll be dreaming of those beautiful Mika78 blossoms - perfect in every way.
I fell in love with letterpress printing and the first time I saw the Romance Collection, I knew this is the one. The same feeling when I first put on my wedding gown.
The design is clean, very elegant and best of all reflects the theme and style of our ballroom and wedding cake. This collection will bring together every elements of our special day. It would be absolutely perfect.
If I can afford Mika78, I will "Say Hello" now :-)
My finance and I are head over heels about “The Quote” collection for several reasons. Besides the collection being absolutely beautiful and a work of art, what stands out the most is the tree as it reminds us of a family tree. Every since we have been dating, both of our families have been supportive about our relationship and have helped us become the strong couple we are today. We look back at the both the difficult and joyful times and they have been always there in one way or another. My finance and I strongly believe that with the imagery of the family tree and the leaves that represent each family member, combined with a quote that highlights our relationship, our wedding invitations would truly represent what is important to us. We will be married Sept 2010 and hope very much that we have the opportunity to win this contest and have “The Quote” collection as part our big day.
My fiance and I are both designers and until now had thought we could do as good a fine job creating our own invitations etc. So much for that idea... Now that I've seen Mimi's designs. Our ceremony and reception will be a modern event held in a loft space overlooking Kansas City. The Joy line is totally fitting of our style and of the event we envision, clean sophisticated, and well balanced. Using stationary from Mika78 would help tie our whole event together from the Save-the-dates to the thank-yous. The colors for our wedding are burgundy and light green, but as you can guess, decorations will be kept to a minimum to allow the gorgeous space to speak for itself. Hence the need for everything (right down to the menus) to tie the theme together elegantly. Lynsey & Kevin + Mimi, what a perfect fit!
Thanks!
What a gorgeous set of invites! My fiance and I are planning on having a relaxed garden wedding and the "Spring" collection would be PERFECT! I absolutely love the simple floral design - it's so stylish and modern! We're paying for the wedding ourselves and are on a pretty tight budget, but these beautiful invites would totally be worth the splurge!
The first question my fiancee asked me once I got up off my knee to ask her to marry me was "can we have letterpress invites?" Unfortunately our budget just can't stretch to it, but this would be such an amazing surprise for her - not only that she would be able to have such beautiful stationary, but that her husband-to-be was actually browsing her bookmarked wedding blogs...
We're getting married beneath redwood trees, and I know she adores 'Quote' - it was one of the designs she showed me before we realised we couldn't afford letterpress. The digital invites we have looked at so far have been brown and pink, which I think would look really nice with the tree on the design. I'm sure if you picked this comment she could tell you the exact colours she (sorry, we) wanted.
Even if we don't win, I hope she sees I tried!
Thanks, Joseph
"Blossoms."
The envelope liners. Enough said. SO stinking cute! That and the fact that my wedding colors are grey and yellow. =)
ok "Joseph" who just commented before me should win. HOW SWEET IS THIS GUY.
I was about to enter the contest but then I saw Joseph's comment above. I agree, he should win!
Well, I can honestly say that this is MY first trip to your website. However, my soon to be bride is constantly bragging about the weddings on here...and the past couple of days it has been most notably the Mika Spring Suite collection. After taking a look at them myself, I can say that her choice of invitations is perfect, both for us and our wedding next June. She tells me that our colors are pink, green, and brown, and the Spring Suite collection absolutely fits the criteria.
The truth is, she has been combing through websites for the perfect invitations for months, and this collection truly makes her happy. We will settle for being content on other wedding choices, but it is nice to know that THIS collection is absolutely what we want.
More than anything else, if she wins this amazing discount, I can spend an extra hour a day with her, stealing her from the depths of internet wedding shopping, and that is what matters most to me.
Regards,
-Brandon
I love the Luxe invitation suite. It would totally meld with our wedding theme in which we are incorporating these words: lush, garden, warm, hospitality, and of course, luxe!
Hands down... I would choose The Quote. I love the sweetness of the invitation concept and adore the beauty of the final product. The Captain Corelli quote is so different from any other quote I have seen on invitations and would love to incorporate it into my wedding. It would also be very appropriate as we are getting married under a large oak tree. If I were to win this giveaway, I would love to see the invitation in my theme colors of plum and gold. Thank you for this opportunity.
I went looking on Mika78 because I simply loved the pictures posted on Style Me Pretty. The bespoke design with the birds were absolutely gorgeous. Yet, I had no intention of actually falling in love with any of the designs.
The fiance and I already bought do-it-yourself invitations in October. However, as I was looking over the designs in the Collection, I was literally drooling. My favorite, the style that most embodies our literary wedding theme, was the Luxe collection. The artisian natural color paper with eggplant writing will not only match my colors but the design will give my wedding a very victorian, elegant feel like many of the novels we are using as our inspiration!
I must admit, I am currently reworking our budget to see how I could possibly find a way to afford this fantastic stationary. Begging/ cajoling/ bribing the fiance is also in the works! Haha!
Spring, beautiful, in shades of blue.
happy
OMG, I am seriously excited about this awesome offer! I can't tell you how many times I have "personalized" letterpress invitations online, only to daydream about actually purchasing them for our wedding (unfortunately, beautiful letterpress invites are out of our budget). I ADORE the Blossoms family and think the design is PERFECT to reflect my Chinese background and my fiance's Japanese heritage. Thanks sooooooo much for this amazing offer... please make my (day)dreams come true! :)
I'm getting married in a month, so my invitations are already out and RSVPs returned. I'm commenting for my Maid of Honor who is absolutely obsessed by letterpress and is trying to find a way to fit it into her budget. Personally, I don't even know that I can pick a favorite. Each design is more stunning than the next--and so individual in it's own way. While I tend towards a more natural, organic look, I am drawn towards the polka dots of the joy line--they just scream FUN! I would love nothing more than to give my Maid of Honor--someone who has done SO MUCH for me--the opportunity to include these invitations in her wedding. It would just mean so much to her, and she would appreciate it more than anything else. Thank you so much for your consideration.
Abby and Mimi,
I am head over heels in love with the “Chic” invitation suite. Its seductive calligraphy, rich colors (a perfect match), and effortless words sweep me off my feet. It embodies our wedding style perfectly – romantic, elegant, sophisticated. A chic soirée our guests will never forget.
Best,
Beth
Botanicals might be the prettiest invitation set I have seen yet. It is 8:44 A.M. and I am literally teary eyed at my desk at work...embarassing at 8:44 A.M. :) I have been swooning over letterpress invites since the day we got engaged...if only our budget supported my (second) love. Our wedding is quickly approaching and I still have refused to order invites because nothing has touched my soul the way my fiance has...and funny enough...he agrees. We would so love to win this prize...we are both head over heels for Mimi's designs and would be honored and touched to be blessed with any of them. I would love to be considered for this elegant and timeless gift. Thank you!
I am obsessed with the "In Love" suite!! The Chic suite is a very close second. It is time for me to get serious about finding the perfect invitation for my wedding and the "In Love" suite is by far the most gorgeous, most sophisticated invitations I have seen!
I love paper and therefore I love wedding invitations. I've been dreaming about the perfect wedding invitations for such a long time and now. I've actually been looking at the "Joy" invitations from mika78 for a while now and I would love to send them to my guests. The invitations are fun and a little more on the casual side for our outdoor, picnic style wedding in the exact colors of these invitations!
My only problem is that the week after I got engaged, my dad lost his job. It's been really hard planning a wedding with very little money. I am not going to be able to afford the beautiful invitations that I've been dreaming about for so long. Trying to cut costs on the wedding meant cutting the cost of invitations. I would love to be able to send out the "Joy" invites for my wedding that is coming up this August.
I am totally in love with the Joy set! It's so exuberant and fun. I even love the color combination. I would love to receive the discount, as beautiful letterpress invitations are probably out of our reach at this time.
absolutely, breathtakingly lovely designs. how to choose just one? we'd probably pick the 'quote' set, as we have an autumn '09 wedding, and the lovely tree motif echos that season. my fiance and i are both avid readers, so we'd likely change the quote to a favorite poem fragment that has special meaning to us. thanks for your consideration.
I'm sorry- I just realized that I did not include our wedding colors. Even though it is a sharp contrast, we decided to go with a beautiful shade of pink and black. Thanks again and we hope that we can call "The Quote" ours!
I could not have been more excited to find this discount giveaway. I was just dreaming over the Mika78 website this morning.
We love love love the look and feel of the "Luxe" design ("Romance" was a close second). We are getting married at an estate in Charlottesville with an outdoor ceremony and both of these designs help capture the emotions we are dreaming about. We picked a variety of shy ballerina pinks and greys with possible hints of buttercup yellow for our colors.
Thank you for offering such an amazing discount giveaway.
So when I saw this incredible promotion I called my fiance over so we could decide which invitation we liked best. We were both in love right away and we oohed and awed over every one, until we got to the Quote. It was like it was meant to be and we just looked at each other, both exited and shocked. You see, we will be doing something very special on our wedding day, we will be planting a tree, in an extremely sentimental place, to symbolize our union, our strength, and the continued growth of our love. This has become a family tradition that started with my Grandparents on family land in Tennessee and I can't wait for my fiance and I to plant our tree next to their 58 year old willow! We love the Quote and think it perfectly fits what the tree planting symbolizes for the both of us.
Our colors are pewter, cream, and shades of blush.
Thank you so much for the awesome opportunity Mika78, I am constantly having to turn down things that I am in love with because of our college-student-budget,(2 grad students = a CZ engagement ring lol) and I can't even imagine having invitations that are this incredible and sentimental- I am just astounded by the detail!
I am quite taken with the whole collection. They are simple yet so beautiful and invoke a feeling of joy and welcoming for a wedding. I just love letterpress and wish these types of invitiations were within our budget. If I had to pick just one, I think the botanicals collection suits my wedding to a tee. It is in late august and the cocktail hr will be outside in a garden like setting. The are eggplant, grass green and yellow-my favorite!. This set has such an elegant, summery, and not-to-formal feel to it!
We really love the "In Love" family. We're getting hitched on South Beach and we want something with a classic yet contemporary feel that captures the essence of who we are as a couple. Our colors are shades of blue and violet.
The design is simple and gorgeous and perfect for us.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is such a wonderful opportunity and I am so happy for the couple that wins today!! :)
My fiance and I think the Botanicals set is absolutely beautiful; elegant and fresh and wonderfully laid out. We love the white space as well as the detail of the flowers and the lovely script. We'll be married next July on my college campus - covered with flowering trees and bushes - and plan to hold the reception in a park nearby. Colors will include a fresh green and a gentle blue or gray. Paper will be a very special part of the wedding; we'd be delighted to have our stationary from Mika78.
is it too late to enter this giveaway!?
i've been stalking the mika78 site for the last several weeks trying to figure out ways to work it into our budget! and i'm just thrilled to hear about this giveaway (granted a bit late)!
i must say though, that i've absolutely fallen in love with "blossoms" package! we're having a fall wedding and everything about this stationary screams modern, simple and romantic!! we'd probably change the colors to the papaya and espresso colors schemes to reflect our wedding colors. we wanted colors that would reflect on the season as well as the romantic air of a wedding :)
Chic is the absolute perfect invitation set for our wedding! Beautiful, classic, traditional...but also unique and with a twist. Everything we are trying to create in our big day. I could not imagine a better prize to win, not only for me but all our guests!
I am in love with the Monogram collection. I just scrolled through the website and blog and cant believe how wonderful the collection is! I am trying to plan a modern/chic wedding, while keeping a traditional feel as well. I think the Monogram collection gives a wonderful classic feel paired with something different than the standard invitation. My wedding is next May, but I am so excited about planning. The Monogram collection would make amazing invitations...especially using the midnight and chartreuse color combination i have in mind!
The "In love" series was an interesting combination of styles that came together very nicely. Given the nature of the event it seems a fitting name (Isn't that like picking a wine b/c of the label? I'm guilty of that, too). Kind of on the other end of the spectrum, I liked the "quote" series. The "Chic" collection was also very cool.
I am hoping for an intimate, elegant and old-world wedding. For these reasons, I fell in love with "Chic." We are having an evening wedding in an old-fashion men's club/bar and the printing is the perfect compliment to the venue. Additionally, because we are only inviting 80 of our nearest and dearest friends and family, the handwriting perfectly conveys the intimacy. As for colors, black, white and a very deep purple will likey carry the day!
Thank you mika78. You have gorgeous designs.
Mika's invitations are absolutely gorgeous. I love the clean, uncomplicated designs.
