I usually hate to recycle blog content, but for this, I had to make an exception. Spotted over on the FABULOUS Mika78′s blog SevenEight, I fell head over heels for this Jonas Peterson photographed affair…
Ahhh, doesn’t it just make you happy. The muted, sophisticated color palette, the effortless elegance of the style, the shabby chic but still refined...
I’ll be the first to admit that I go a little bit nuts over a well made feather headpiece. There is just something so ethereal, so dreamy about a bride donning one of these little beauties. So, when I saw the gorgeousness that was happening over at Velvet Owl, I swooned. I am particularly fond of this piece to the right…total perfection.
Lauren and Jordan’s exciting Hollywood Glam wedding at The Phoenix in Cincinnati was inspired by a hairpiece by K. Autumn that Lauren found online. In the words of their wedding planner, Dora Manuel at Viva Bella Events … “After that, it...
We’ve featured his engagements shots before here on SMP and they are always genius. But this newest collection of portraits that Max captured, man oh man, it’s complete perfection.
The inspiration doesn’t stop here. Check out Max’s newest work on his website and his blog…it’s absolutely...
I usually don’t blog about regionally specific events, but since this one is so amazing (and since yours truly will be there), I thought I would make an exception to the rule. If you are in the New England area, cancel all of your plans for this weekend. The AMAZING crew at True and Wesson has put together one of the most incredible luxury bridal showcases, focusing their concept on using the 5 senses to plan your wedding.
Dora Manuel at Viva Bella Events in Cincinnati thought you would enjoy Lauren & Jordan’s wedding and we’re positive that you will! She did such a great job telling their story, we’re just going to let her take over.
Lauren and Jordan joke about how different they each are. She’s an artist. He’s a dentist. She’s Catholic. He’s Jewish. She’s a smalltown girl. He’s from the...
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks so much for all of the birthday well wishes…we had a great time, just hanging out at home, eating WAY too much chocolate and doing a little too much of nothing. Perfect way to kick off an all new decade.
We have kind of a hodge podge of stuff for you today, which is sometimes the best way to do it. A little something for everyone. First up, some really simple, but gorgeous centerpiece ideas that...

So two really great things are happening today. The first is that it is 66 degrees outside. That may not sound like much, but for a Texas girl who is constantly freezing in Boston, this is the first sign that things are warming up around here. Second, and perhaps even more exciting, is that it just happens to be my birthday! And a big one at that.
So, I am doing something completely unusual and taking the rest of the day off to hang with my little girl and spend some time playing out...
I really don’t do a lot of features on engagement portraits, because it takes a lot to really wow me. But, these adorable photographs just made me smile, so I thought I would pass them along. The fabulous Megan, over at La Partie Events (remember her DIY projects last month) sent them to me and I just love.
My dear friend, Deana, just introduced me to Kirsten Goss, an incredible jewelry designer who has crafted a collection that is perfect for brides looking for something timeless with a touch of edge.
I am a little bit obsessed (ok a lot obsessed) with that first necklace, it’s absolute perfection. Kirsten’s bridal line is tailored to sophisticated...

I have a confession to make …. every once in awhile, I get overwhelmed looking at all the lovely Real Weddings submitted to us every day {gasp – dare I say that out loud?}. I run out of adjectives and I can’t find anything really new or really different to show you {one more huge gasp and exclamation point!}.
That’s when I go...
I have been meaning to share this amazing new designer with you for some time, so needless to say, I am really excited about today’s first post. Lynn Russell, the designer and creative brain behind Satsuma Press, is pure talent. Her work reflects a modern sensibility, paired with a soft, elegant aesthetic that is all about the pretty.
Lynn features...
Elisabeth from BLUSH Floral Design in Connecticut sent us some photos of the flowers from Allison & Jon’s May 2008 wedding that are just so pretty … LOVE ‘em!

Yep, you read that right. FINALLY a project just for the grooms. Mekala Tinnin, our newest DIY contributor (remember her FAB love story books) crafted this brilliant packaging idea that you can do just for your boy.
Mekala recently launched a new venture called Tie that Binds where you can purchase the cute label for these socks.
