The best part about today’s wedding, in my humble opinion, is that the pair actually draped their uncle’s garage to look like something right out of a fairytale. Complete unabashed garage luxury! LOVE.

From Jessica…
Dinner, also vegetarian and prepared by The Pantry, was located in the house garage which was completely transformed to an intimate and serene space with white satin draperies against the walls and ceilings, white lanterns spread across the room for ambiance lighting, and floral arrangements throughout.
The large flower arrangements, created by Fleur de Lys, were filled with white hydrangeas, roses and ranunculus and complemented by smaller bud vases carrying a small mix of white roses and yellow snapdragons. We placed three large rectangular tables parallel to each other to re-create a family-style atmosphere.
On each plate, we placed a gold box to serve as name cards as well as a gift. Inside each box, guests would find a paper scroll revealing that they’re now the proud sponsor of a shelter dog for the month of April. Along with their sponsorship, we also included a lovely heart-shaped dog tag that read ‘Patrik & Jessica, April 11, 2009’ and gold almonds to signify luck.
Dinner was delicious and started with sweet potato and coconut soup with cilantro garnish, followed by a warm vegetable lasagna with a side of spring vegetables, and a mesclun and breaded goat cheese salad to finish off. The simple cake was a double-layered yellow cake with white chocolate ruffle. Throughout dinner, 15 selected guests made very personal speeches that were animated, emotional, funny and touching.

Thank you so very much to Jessica and Patrik for giving us a glimpse into their special day. And to Jen Huang for capturing the most beautiful photographs ever…perfectly complimenting the easy elegance of the affair. We have ANOTHER real wedding on the way so stay tuned!
