We are featuring SUCH a lovely Australian wedding today, with pretty, feminine touches and a sense of style that is completely envious. Here are a few more details and bits of eye candy…

From Laura, the beautiful bride…

I had planned so many details, and there was a little bridezilla in me that sometimes unleashed when things just had to be perfect. As a graphic designer, of course our wedding had to have a logo. Which has evident throughout; menus, table numbers,  the place cards, the order of service, the invitations… I had even made the sparklers once featured on SMP. My theme was classic black and white.

I designed my bridesmaid dresses, sourced the material and embellishment. The idea was to have the same dress for each bridesmaid but to have variations to suit each bridesmaid and to create a little bit of personality rather than strict uniform. Two of my bridesmaids were pregnant so the flowing style of the dresses accommodated this well. I loved the way the wind caught the dresses and they looked liquid floating in the breeze. The groomsmen wore all black, it looked very sharp and was also fitting to our theme. We had a beautiful venue with a pretty lawn and cute vintage chairs.

This is amazing!! Laura is a good friend of mine and her wedding was absolutely beautiful!! The details are what made this so gorgeous. She looked so stunning and I'm truly proud of her! Their wedding truly captured their style and it's so wonderful to see her wedding being featured here!!

  2. I like the princess cut design of the bridesmaids dresses and the purple is really beautiful complement to the bride's white wedding gown. I do however think that the bridesmaids can use a little jewelry on their neck cause their chests and necks look too bare... it's just my personal opinion. I really love the dresses though.

This is awesome. The day was like a dream. Laura is my beautiful sister and I was absolutely honoured being her Matron of Honour. Everything looked AMAZING, the amount of effort put into the day was INCREDIBLE. Everything was perfect, EVERYTHING.
What an amazing way to remember the next step in Josh and Laura's life together.

The dresses were by Sue Muirhead and Joanna Taylor, designed by Laura, the bride herself. They didn't only look beautiful but gave you that feeling of being a princess. Simply stunning. The jewlery worn went with it to a t, with the embellishments under the bust, jewelery on the neck would have been too much, we were blessed with beautiful earings that hung and gorgeous silver bracelets. All in all just like a dream.

The dressmaker's brand is 'Victoria Jane', my designs were inspired by Alex Perry and the jewels of Alberta Ferretti (particularly a dress worn by Kate Beckinsale)
