Real Wedding: Brittany and Tyler

April 27th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 9 comments

I gave you a little sneak peek from today’s real wedding on Friday…filled with adorable details that reflect the cute personalities of the bride and groom. Brittany is a bride in every sense of the word, putting her heart and soul into the wedding design and the orchestration of her big day. She is girly, she is romantic, she is a total bride. Love that.

A few details from the bride…

I hardly know where to start.  How do I tell the story of my dream wedding?

My name is Brittany Anderson Kiser and I married my best friend, John Tyler Kiser on February 14th, 2009.  We were married at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish WA.  My mother and I planned and orchestrated the entire wedding, along with help from our wonderful vendors:  Loves Me Flowers, Ben Becker Photography, Trophy Cupcakes, Tyler Griffin Productions (videography), Bellatrix Studio (hair and makeup) and Sahalee Country Club.  And of course, daily visits to the Style Me Pretty Blog.

My dress was amazing.  I love pink, and everyone joked that I should wear a pink wedding dress.  After trying on dozens of dresses, I tried on a pink wedding gown by Mia Solano, just for fun.  Well, I knew at that instant that it was the dress for me.  We kept it a secret from (almost) everyone, even my fiance, and it was a very special touch to our magical day.  The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses from Jordan Bridal and Tyler and the groomsmen wore chocolate brown tuxes.

My grandmother passed away a year and a half ago and I honored my special grams with my bouquet wrap which was made from satin and lace from her wedding dress and a picture of her.  It was so special to Tyler and I as we both loved her so much.

Did she make that lovely wrist flower?? If so I'd love to see a DIY post about it!

I love that the bridesmaids are having those floral balls instead of a bouquet :-)

    Hi Erica:

The wrist Organza Corsages were made by, Tracy B Designs. She was amazing to work with and I highly recommend checking out her etsy shop (see below). It is funny because she had never used them as wrist corsages before until my mom (she is amazing) came up with the idea. Think outside the box!

I am glad you enjoyed them!

    Hi Christine:

I always knew I wanted the Bridesmaids to have Pomander Balls (flowers) in my wedding. They look so cute and the girls didn't have to worry about holding the bouquets up the whole day/night. They can just hang them and they look adorable.

I love the corsages and the pomanders...they are gorgeous and glam! The colors are lovely too!

I actually made my own pomanders, bouquets, corsages and bouttonieres out of ivory crepe paper...

    Hi Cynthia:

Very clever! I love them! Do you sell them on a site or anything? I think they would do great. We loved the ones that were made for us. Everything was perfect. I knew exactly what I wanted flower wise and it all turned out perfect!

    Cute :)

    Thanks, Brittany
