Real Wedding: Laura and Walt, III

If you are just now joining us, we are all about Charleston today. In honor of my brother-in-law’s wedding this weekend at Boone Hall (which is going to be AMAZING by the way), we’ve asked the lovely girls at Calder Clark Designs to share with us one of their favorite Charleston weddings…

Little items we loved: the custom calligraphy “LW” monogram carried throughout the stationery suite and reception…orchestrating a carriage ride for Laura and her girls to go from the Mills House to Trinity; we tied a boxwood wreath with a calligraphy “going to the chapel” sign on the back- and they got their fair share of honks up and down Meeting Street…Laura’s cake was fashioned to resemble swaths of her dress (muslin-like) and was incredible on the inside: Apple Spice Cake with caramelized apples and walnut cream cheese.

So much more to come!

  1. Do you know if you can you buy wreaths like this or did the florist make it? Love it!

  2. You can buy wreaths like this all day- they are called "preserved boxwood", and we like the 24" size. Just google it! :)

Any idea who makes the bridesmaid dresses? My sister is looking for that color.
