We don’t feature many same sex weddings on Style Me Pretty…they simply don’t come across our desk very often. But, since our focus is on all things beautiful, any wedding is welcome as long as it’s gorgeous! So, when Sylvie Gil sent us today’s featured affair…I swooned.

From Sylvie…
Desiree and Ann had a beautiful wedding at Barndiva in Healdsburg. Desiree wore a Monique Lhuillier dress and Ann wore a Vera Wang. After several years together, they were both very ready for a commitment amongst their family and friends. The event was filled with sublime emotion and style.
So much more on the way!

Although featuring a same-sex wedding can be somewhat controversial, it goes to show why I love SMP so much. You're open to new ideas (whether dealing with flowers or relationship makeup) and they're inspiring to readers. Keep up the good work Abby!

I agree, this wedding is fabulous and you should include more same sex weddings! Horray for VT, DC and Iowa!
I love the first picture featuring the 2 dresses. Hooray for marriage equality!
Great decision posting this wedding, Abby! It is beautiful and it is wonderful to see that SMP doesn't practice discrimination in its posts. Congrats to these lovely women on their wedding!
whether you agree with same sex marriages or not, this wedding is beautiful and completely deserving of the spotlight.
I am a big advocate of same sex mariage and also am an employee of Barndiva Restaurant. This wedding was one of the most moving that we've had.
During the ceremony one of our walnut trees comicly dropped a nice ripe walnut right on the satin dress. The way that everyone rolled with it really showed how excited everyone was for these two beautiful ladies to express their love for eachother.
