Today’s affair is all about charm, inspired by perfect roses, lovely gardens and true love. If you are just now joining us, we are featuring the wedding of Desiree and Ann, shot by the wonderfully talented Sylvie Gil.
I know that some of you might not agree with same sex affairs, some of you embrace them, some of you don’t really know how you feel. But, I think that we can all, wholeheartedly agree that today’s affair is a lesson in loveliness. Pure, unabashed loveliness.

I made the all of the ceremony programs, finding a botanical print that reflected the color scheme of the wedding and printing the text on our home printer. In the program, we thanked all of our families and friends for participating in such a significant moment in our lives.

I am so happy to see a same sex marriage featured here.I feel that same sex marriages are seriously under represented within the wedding media. Kudos! HOLY GORGEOUSNESS :) I love the color scheme, the dresses (drooling)and I agree with the comments above. It's nice to see the rest of the country catching up with good ol' Massachusetts! But back to the wedding....this is seriously one of the most beautiful events I've ever seen. Wow! Beautiful work Desiree and Ann!
It is for this reason only that I wish I loved a woman: how fun would it be to plan a wedding together for yourselves?!? I love how their dresses are different and still very much like a couple of brides. Yay for them and yay for their beautiful wedding!

I know I may be in the minority here, but I believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. This is an absolutely gorgeous ceremony and I applaud stymepretty for bringing its readers such beautiful photos, however, if others are free to share their opinions then it is only fair that I am allowed to share mine as well.

Wow, this weddng is absolutely stunning. One of my top 3 favorite. Although I'm sure it cost a pretty penny, it doesn't have that over done or over the top look that many of the beautiful wedding planners produce. Although they are beautiful, they are not practical for the average person, and this weddings show you can have beautiful flowers put together by simply picking the right colors.

Hi, this is Ann of "Ann and Desiree" -- I wanted to express how thankful we are for the warm reception received on this website. We appreciate the views of all, including the diversity and varied views expressed, even if they are in disagreement with the notion of same-sex weddings. The interesting thing is that everyone recognizes this as a wedding regardless of the legal ramifications that may or may not stem from the event. In fact, we never considered our wedding a political or otherwise inflammatory affair. Instead, we viewed it quite simply as a shared celebration of love. Unfortunately the validity of our marriage is in dispute in the court system (as part of the lawsuits stemming from Proposition 8) but not in our hearts. It saddens us greatly to think that the love we felt on our special day is somehow less recognized or valued than the love of straight couples. It is, however, with great enthusiasm that we share our special day with you, and can not thank you enough for your overwhelming words and expressions of encouragement. Best regards,
