Tell us about this wedding that is featured today?

In 2008 I photographed over 50 weddings myself, and while they were all lovely events, this one stood out for me because of the details and the experiences that we all had that day.  I met the bride and groom the year before and was very impressed by their enthusiasm and their plans for the day. They told me about the very secluded property that their parents had that would be the location for the wedding, and about their plans to do a lot of the work themselves – they painted signs, worked on the gardens, made a huge photo board with old reclaimed wood boards from a barn that they had on their property…this was a DIY wedding with a lot of attention to the small details….and they did not disappoint!  A year later when we showed up to their parents home I found what was basically a photographers dream – manicured apple trees,  well lit tents, lots and lots of candles for beautiful warm lighting…it really was perfect.

Then..the rain came.

More to come!

Beautiful! Just beautiful. I love the fact that the focus for this photographer has not been on those stunning details (of which there were many and undoubtedly these were captured too)but rather on the story of the day. Gorgeous! gives me warm fuzzies just looking at the photos.
