Wedding Cakes by Vanilla Bakeshop
Before we get to today’s absolutely lovely real wedding, I wanted to show off these new designs by Vanilla Bake Shop. They were debuted at the fabulous Soolip Wedding event last week in Los Angeles and when I saw them, my heart literally skipped a beat!
Ahhh, I haven’t seen navy and pink in a while and I certainly haven’t seen it done this well…and on a cake to boot! Now, take a peek at this sweet but modern, black and white floral design…
And beneath that incredible cake, well…perfection!
It just keeps getting better and better! Vanilla Bake Shop is always surprising me with their fresh, chic approach to wedding cake design. I would honestly wear most of their creations, as they are often inspired by great fabrics and prints. If you haven’t checked their website lately, it’s a must! They now have an entire section devoted to sweets and those fabulous dessert bars that they design!
It's tough to really come up with a uniquely-shaped cake but this is really fresh-looking!

I love the height on the tiers! The baker I'm using for my sister's shower suggested the tall tier and I agreed without seeing it. I'm so glad I did, it's gorgeous!

As a wedding photographer, it's amazing how many boring wedding cakes I see - maybe we're just boring up here in Canada, I don't know. But I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see stunning cakes. After all, so much care and attention is put into so many aspects of the wedding. Shouldn't the cake be a showcase piece? Anyway, love what I see from the Vanilla Bake Shop.
I absolutely LOVE that first cake - it's perfect! (Our wedding cake was inspired by a VBS cake as well.)

VBS is the best! They are doing the cupcake tower for my own wedding this summer, but I've been addicted since the day they opened. They also do these amazing ice-box treats in jars and mini ones that are in little shot glasses. Now I'm having a major craving!
Isn't Vanilla Bakeshop the best?!? We are just LOVING their cakes and these photos are so beautiful! We love the pink macaroons :) ... and you can never go wrong with cupcakes!
