I tried Chocolate covered pretzels for the first time the other day and they looked great... until I came downstairs the next day to start packaging them and they all had this speckled white look to them. It looked like old chocolate. Any idea why this happened? I used a 23oz bag of nestle milk chocolate chips with 1 1/2 tablespoons of shortening and made sure to take the chocolate out while there where still some chips unmelted. I am planning on doing them for a wedding in a few months so I really need to figure out how to keep this from happening.

This is such a simple, yummy, great idea to slip inside a cello bag. These are very decorative with the white chocolate drizzles so a clear cellophane bag is perfect. Nice job!

This is awesome--I was already planning on making chocolate covered pretzels as Christmas gifts and this tutorial is really helpful. (I hadn't thought of using a tall mug to dip and that sounds perfect.) Thank you!

I am planning my 50th birthday party. I love your chocolate covered pretzels and thank you cards.
Do you make these for other people?

Hi, I have made these too for Christmas and love making and eating them.. I have never drizzled the white chocolate but really like that idea. Do you cover both sides or just one. With sprinkles you can roll the chocolate pretzel and cover but thought here the drizzle will get smeared if I try to do all the way around at once. I could see doing one side and then flipping them but thought I would ask the expert :)

Beautiful!
