Real Wedding: Shea and Syd, II

There is just so much to love about today’s wedding…the oh-so-chic bride, the sweet but completely elegant style of day, the pure happiness that is radiating from the bride and groom.

Complete and utter charm. Loving every bit of this wedding! From the bride…

Syd and I are not the type of couple to get married in a typical “wedding venue” so I set out to find a location that could provide the rustic, romantic feel I love so much, but provide the practicality of indoor plumbing, heating and place for the caterer. I found a barn in Mapleton, Utah that fit the bill. We had our wedding ceremony at the LDS temple in Salt Lake City and the reception later that night. We invited close friends and family (about 125 guests) and decided to not have bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Where did the groom get the tux (or is it a suit) he's wearing? My fiance is having a hard time finding a slim cut tux.

  6. Shea says:

Hi, this is the bride, and thanks for the sweet comments.
Yes, my hair is up in the back and as for the suit, he bought it at Zara (it was the best place for well made slim fitting suits that didn't cost an arm and leg).

I'm a bit late jumping on this bandwagon (or is it bikewagon) but I too have noticed the amazing style of LDS ladies in the blog world. I thought it too cliched to mention and probably just a coincidence but now I see my secret observations are shared by other clued-up readers! I could just daydream about this celebration all day. Best wishes.

    Lauren,
My fiance found this company called evolution of style that is doing the suits for our wedding. Its super easy and the suits are very well priced, and its pretty easy to convince the groomsmen to join in when they look that great! Good luck!

Where did you get your dress. It is so beautiful. Do you have a full length picture you wouldn't mind sharing?
    Thanks so much!

Your wedding looks absolutely charming! My fiancee and I are also having a rustic, romantic wedding in about six weeks (!) at a Hacienda in New Mexico. I'm wondering about your gorgeous ensemble as well - is that a separate shrug you're wearing? It's adorable, and I'm having such a hard time finding a cover-up for my strapless dress to stave off the inevitable desert night chill. May I ask where you found it?? Thank you for sharing your lovely photos!

  18. Jameel was a very poor man working in a Power plant. He lived with his
wife & a young sister. He had been married only 2 months. He & his
family were a very conservative & God-fearing group.

Life had been tough for Jameel. He was barely able to make enough
money to pay for his household expenses & his sister's college tuition
fees. He lived in a rented apartment in a cheap neighborhood.
