Real Wedding: Jeanie & Chris At Houston’s Wortham Theatre

March 24th. 2009 by Eddye | Filed Under | 9 comments

Abby and I are huge Wortham Theatre fans! There was a time in the not so distant past, that Broadway musicals, Houston Ballet and The Grand Opera had an enormous impact on our lives. Houston’s theatre arts district is an inspiration in and of itself! So when we received these photos from  Jeanie and Chris’ wedding at the Wortham Theatre … well, we were thrilled!

With some tremendous help from Holly at Stems by Holly,  Jeanie and Chris carried out their Cherry Blossom-inspired theme from beginning to end!

Lights … Cameras … Action … !

More lights … more cameras … and so much more action ……. the Wortham Theatre light show embraced the cherry blossom theme.

And after all of the festivities … the final curtain call … for Jeanie and Chris.

A perfectly romantic evening at the Wortham Theatre in downtown Houston! Simply fun!

Thank you, Holly for being a part of our Little Black Book team and for sharing your talents with us and our readers. As you move on to new ventures, we at Style Me Pretty wish you all the best!!  Don’t be a stranger!

Thank you to  Laura Kay Photography for the great shots from Jeanie and Chris’ wedding and celebration! The invites and programs were done by PH Designs.  That gorgeous cake was made by Cakes by Macauley, and event coordination was by  Two Be Wed.

  1. This event was breath taking... I love the colors and the modern elegance!

  2. It was a pleasure to work with Jeanie and Chris as their wedding planner! If every bride could be like Jeanie...she was relaxed, confident, and trusted my recommendations for vendors. Holly from Stems by Holly is so creative and really captured Jeanie's vision for her wedding day. The cake was to die for and another fabulous creation by Cakes by Macauley. Laura Kay is one of the best photographers I know. She's fun to work with and doesn't miss a moment! This is going down in in the Two Be Wed planner's journal as one of my favorite weddings!

  3. I was the mother of the groom and I will admit I had my doubts when I heard the wedding was going to be at the Wortham but we all trusted Jeanie and her special day turned out to be one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended, and I've been to a bunch!! The bride was stunning and everyone commented on how gorgeous the entire wedding was. Not mentioned in the article was that the food and service all took place seemlessly after the wedding, with a quick turnaround to transform the wedding "chapel" into a lovely dining room complete with dance floor.

I can't thank all my vendors enough and my fabulous coordinator, Natalie Dawley of TwoBeWed, for giving us a wedding beyond our wildest expectations! Laura Kay did an awesome job with the photos. Stems by Holly created the perfect touch to the Wortham backdrop. Cakes by Macauley created the most beautiful (and delicious!) cake ever. The dress was a dream... by Elizabeth Fillmore at Casa de Novia.

Thank you everyone for a lifetime of wonderful memories!!!

Wow! What a night! Everything looked so beautiful and we had so much fun celebrating with friends and family. Jeanie was the most exquisite bride you have ever seen and the entire event was crafted with elegance and style. Thanks to all who contributed and thanks to the bride and groom for bringing us all together!
