Real Wedding: Margaret and Yancy
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times…it’s all in the details. I am always on the hunt for weddings that capture the details to perfection so when I saw Margaret and Yancy’s ridiculously lovely reception, I swooned! Before we get to that though, here is a first look at the beautiful couple and their oh-so-pretty day!

From Margaret…
My name is Margaret Diotalevi, and my handsome husband is Yancy Diotalevi, our wedding took place this past August 30, 2008 in Toronto, Canada. It’s a little DYI, a little budget friendly [we splurged on some things, but were frugal with others] and a lot of modern + fresh!
Being a wedding photographer…I surely thought I would be bridezilla extraordinaire…but to my surprise, I enjoyed planning the wedding so much…and Yancy was a huge help, which took so much of the stress off. We had a blast with the planning and the details, and an even better time during the day…it was so much more than we expected, and we were so pleased that the day was what we wanted…great friends and family, fabulous food + drink, and lots of laughs and dancing. If I could I would have a celebration like this yearly!

I love these invitations too... They are almost exactly what we're looking for in ours, aside from color. Can you tell us where they came from, or if they are DIY?
They were DIY but I have more details coming up about the supplies in just a bit:)

I love your flower bouquet. What are the flowers you used? I having a hard time finding green other than orchids. =]
I like the location, but I wish there were more pictures of the interior.

Thanks for posting this wedding Abby. I'm from Toronto and considered 5ive15ifteen but only ever saw high end weddings that they shot.. so it kind of made me wonder if it's the weddings that were beautiful or the photography. It's refreshing to see a more budget friendly wedding that indeed has beautiful photos so they must be fantastic photographers.

I loved 5ive15ifteens work, and they did a great job...since I could not shoot the wedding myself...although I spent many night pondering if there was a way. I really do thank the guys for putting up with a fellow photographer as the bride.
The flowers Margarite [Nice Stems] used were spider mums, those are the vibrant green ones, the little ones I'm not sure of.
The little green ones are button mums ;)
