As promised, the wonderfully talented Tara Wilson has crafted the most gorgeous tablesetting for all of you eco-chic brides out there.

Materials
-Chalk tablets (8.5 x 11) and chalk from a teacher supply store
-Miniature ferns from a garden supply store
-Miniature glass bottles from an antique shop or flea market
Notes from Tara…
Using a saw, cut the tablets in half. Use them as your menu cards. Late in the evening guests can erase the menu and leave the bride and groom personalized notes. Have your photographer take photos of the chalk boards so you can capture the special sayings.
To enhance the tablescape, place miniature ferns and ivy in terracotta pots and surround with candles and antique glass bottles.
Pure loveliness. Thank you so much, Tara, for sending us these great table ideas. If you haven’t already, you HAVE to check out Tara’s gorgeous website and blog. Hours of inspiration and eye candy.

Wow wow wow - I love this and would be great for my wedding :D
While this is beautiful, it is in no way eco-friendly. After the wedding, no doubt the adorable chalk boards will be thrown away.
I am currently planning my wedding and I LOVE the design and care in each of the weddings I see on this site, but there can be no confusing a nature-look for truly earth-friendly.
I hope more brides will become concerned with the waste their weddings create.
agreed Stephanie. 'earthy' does not equal earth conscious.
Gotcha girls. I think that the intent for the chalkboards was that the bride would keep them as keepsakes. All of the other supplies could be found/recycled items. It's all about your approach and your intent and Tara had nothing but beautiful intentions.
oh and it is absolutely beautiful!
The chalkboards have won me over entirely...have just fwded this post to a client, in fact! A cork charger plate instead of teh coppery one shown would change the look up as well and make it even more earthy.
Love the whole concept! Great work, Tara!!
I think with a tiny bit of effort, a bride could find a good home for the chalkboards. For example, post on Craigslist and gift them to another bride, give them away to children at the wedding, give them to a teacher or classroom, or find a way to spray and mount the boards with messages as artwork! I think there a lot of alternatives to throwing them away.
I love this idea! as for after the wedding, i agree with Nicole. I would love to make sort of a collage out of it and find a wall to place those memorable pieces.
I love this idea! This is definitely eco-friendly, especially if you have a smart wedding planner that can reuse the items after giving a keepsake pair to the couple. Think of all the paper this is saving! Beautiful work too!
I agree that we need to be more stringent in what we call "eco-friendly". Having a subsequent use for everything you have at your wedding is esential even if it's just repurposed to another bride.
I'd love to see more pictures of centerpieces with mix-and-match glass vases. I'm slowly collecting things from garage sales for mine.
Beautiful photos btw!
