The designs are amazing. The icon would definitely work best for my wedding in October. My fiance and I are from England are getting married there, but we are currently living in California and both love San Francisco.
We were standing at a view point on Marin Headlands overlooking the iconic Golden Gate bridge when my gorgeous boyfriend proposed to me.
Because of this and because we both love San Francisco so much this is going to be the theme of our wedding. All table names will be areas in San Francisco, with the head table as the Golden Gate bridge. It is our compromise for not being able to hold the wedding in California. I can’t wait for our special day

How delighted I was to see that lovely San Miguel de Allende was one of the destination options for the Day in May Designs. My fiance and I first fell in love with the quaint artist colony in 2004 on our first trip down to see his parents. Five years and multiple visits later, there is no where else in the world we’d rather celebrate our marriage than in San Miguel. For most of our guests, this will be their first time in San Miguel and the ‘Day in May-Destination’ invitation would be the perfect way to welcome them to one of our favorite spots in the world. Choosing colors for the wedding has been a fun challenge–how is one to find colors that will both complement and be distinct from the San Miguel palate? A deep red is a must for this color scheme; cherry red to be exact. And print No. 1, option C–I am a sucker for clean lines and lowercase type. Thank you for this giveaway Day in May Designs! We are on our way to San Miguel tomorrow and writing about our wedding and love for San Miguel was such a great way to start the weekend.

I swoon over letterpress, but there is no way we could ever afford them for our wedding. Our wedding will have a classic yet slightly rustic look, which I think letterpress embodies wonderfully. Our wedding will be held at a barn in Vermont on January 17, 2010. It is a destination wedding for most of our guests, and I love the clean, chic, simplicity of the destination invitations. I would use the chocolate paper for the exterior and eggplant as the ink for the stamp as olive, purple, and brown are our colors. I love the snowflake design of the boulder stamp. It says “winter” without being over-the-top and reminds me of a quilt pattern. Textiles will feature strongly in our wedding as my mother is knitting scarves and shawls for the wedding party and sewing us a quilt that we will use as our guest book. Winning this giveaway would be a great gift–my birthday is March twentieth!

Sigh… what beautiful work! I’m a bridesmaid in my cousin’s very small wedding, family only. Since I’m still in school and can’t help out financially, I’ve been trying to do as much DIY stuff for her as I can, but I know these letterpress invites would completely blow her away. Plus, our grandmother would be so happy to have one of these as a keepsake to put away in her old cedar memory chest! I think her favorite would be the pure type, simple and elegant.
