The awesome Boyfriend/Girlfriend duo of Jess & Vanessa shared Andrea and Jesse’s happy day with us and we know it will brighten even the gloomiest weather you might be experiencing on this Monday afternoon!!

Isn’t Andrea just the prettiest bride?

Jesse and Andrea married in early September at The Berkeley Church Field House, Toronto.

Andrea hung a portrait of her late father that she had painted in the reception area. What a wonderful tribute!

The cake was a traditional fruitcake made by Jesse’s mom and decorated by Cakes on Cakes. Wedding flowers by King West Flowers.
Andrea and Jesse designed their own invitations, menus, and other wedding paper pieces. A very beautiful DIY occasion!

Centerpieces from IKEA!

Pies! Pies! Pies! … from Wanda’s Pie In The Sky.

Thanks SO much to Vanessa & Jess at Boyfriend/Girlfriend, fabulous Little Black Book photographers located in Toronto. Your weddings are always so fresh and so fun! And congratulations to Andrea & Jesse on a totally lovely wedding celebration!

Do you know the artist that painted the portrait of her father? Thank you!
this wedding is adorable! love it :)
love those shoes! where are those from?
Love the pies!! What a great addition to any wedding!!!
hi! this is andrea (the bride) for this post...our amazing photographer vanessa just called me to let me know this was up!!!
just to answer a few of the questions - i actually painted the portrait of my dad myself...and the shoes are from nine west (so comfortable).
thanks for all the compliments...i feel so giddy :)
Do you ever take commissions from people to paint for them? I would love to have one created of my mother and unfortunately I am not an artist. Let me know and I can send you my email. Thanks!
Love the shoes. great wedding. Shows that low key can be plentiful.
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!!
i'm not really an artist by trade...but my brother-in-law is a fantastic artist so he might be able to help. are you located anywhere near toronto? if not, i bet you could find some fantastic artists at your local art college/school to commission!
PIE!! Those look absolutely delicious, and what a fun wedding.
I love this wedding! The touching painting, the Beeeeautiful bride, the shoes! the polaroids! Everything is beautiful, and the bride just SHINES!!!
PS. Erica, if you are still looking for an artist, my fiancé is a wonderful artist. We both have BFAs—-actually, we met in our life drawing class—-but he's the natural! I know he's done commission work from his family, too. If you're interested, I can send you his email.
Thanks again SMP for sharing another gorgeous wedding!
Thank you all for your responses. My email is ericaspector @gmail.com I love the natural qualities of Andrea's portrait and would love to speak to anyone that thinks they may be able to help!
Beautiful pictures! I love how her mom walked her down the aisle, that's really sweet. Her shoes are absolutely gorgeous and the shot of the bride's head down is a great catch for the photographer!
Andrea - Love your wedding shoes. I live in Toronto and have always been a fan of the Berkeley Church. I love what you did with the space.
Love Boyfriend/Girlfriend and really love Berkeley church. This only shows a snippet of what thay venue has to offer.
Hooray for a Toronto wedding! Always great to see my home town featured! Boyfriend/Girlfriend are shooting a co-workers wedding this fall and I am sooo jealous!
Beautiful wedding, Andrea- everything looks amazing! Jess and Vanessa shot my wedding too - also featued on SMP under Unique Weddings Week & Cultural Weddings (http://www.stylemepretty.com/2008/04/18/unique-weddings-week-5/ ) - and this is just another example of their fabulous, fresh, fun style! thanks again for all the thoughtful comments! happy to see there are so many torontonians/canadians on smp :)
naushin - you're wedding was so beautiful!
erin - the shoes are from Nine West
the picture of your father brought tears to me. nice touch.
did you buy the shoes recently, do not see on nine west website
nope - got married last september so i bought them that summer. i bet if you wait until this summer you'll find something similar!
Do you have more pics of your hair??? That's exactly what I wanted but wasn't sure how to incorporate the flower or veil! It was so pretty!!
Hi Andrea (The Bride).
I absolutely LOVE your color choices. I am thinking of a similar color scheme except I am using pink instead of peach. What color were the Groomsmen ties and bouteneers? Also, what sorts of things did you use at the reception to accent the green and peach colors? Did you have any brown decorations to go with the bridesmaid dresses?
Thanks in advance for any tips you can send me. Congrats on your marriage!
i absolutely adore these pictures - does anyone know of any UK photographers who do this style of pictures? i don't think boyfriend/girlfriend would be able to make it across the pond to do my wedding!
love the way the accent colours really zing out yet the overall feel is quite muted, and the 'vignetting' (darkening) round the corners of the frames is a look i think enhances the photos wonderfully. delightful!
hi again!
krystal - i don't really have any close-up pics of my hair...to be honest, i don't even know how to describe it because my hairdresser just did it all without any direction from me. i just told her i wanted it sort of up and sort of down and she did everything!
jadene - thanks for the compliments :). the groomsmen wore brown ties with a white spotted pattern (you can sort of see it in the picture with jes' brother playing the violin) and they had boutonnieres made of white calla lilies with green accents. i also gave freedom to my florist to decide pretty much all flower choices. all i told her was that jes and i were the only ones with the orange accents. as for decorations, we were lucky because our venue was already so visually interesting that we didn't need to do much. on the tables all we had were candles, with the jade centerpieces and then the little green favor boxes. it ended up being more than enough for us! we didn't really have anything brown though....
niki - don't know any uk photographers but maybe if you contact boyfriend/girlfriend they might know? :) i'm sure they'd fly over if you were willing to bring them there...
