Washington DC Wedding: Abounding Joy, III

March 5th. 2009 by Eddye | Filed Under | 13 comments

If you’ve been following today’s featured wedding, you’ll know that this is just an amazingly warm and fuzzy celebration! If you didn’t see Part I & II, click {here} & {here}.  Libett and Scott’s DC wedding was sent to us by the ultra-talented Pam of ATrendy Wedding and Jennifer of Love Life Images, two of our great Little Black Book members!

from Pam … “Libbet & Scott are one of my favorite couples to date! They used to hang out together as kids. They are extremely family-oriented and wanted their wedding to be a welcoming and joining together of friends and family. We were going for a romantic Sinatra feel … champagne bar featuring a few specialty bubbly drinks, fun dessert bar, many candles, warm inviting glow in the dinner area and Sinatra-style music for dancing. Love was definitely in the air!”

These are just some of the simply awesome shots from Little Black Book photographer, Jennifer Domenick of Love Life Images!

ATrendy Wedding & Event Company will help you weave your individual personalities and dreams with today’s fashions & styles. Pam strives to help you create the wedding of your dreams, all the while remembering that everyone has their very own sense of style, budget, and scope. One thing that you’ll read on her website that totally sums it up is this … she wants her brides to feel butterflies in their bellies … when they remember their wedding celebrations! What a great way to say it.

Thanks SO much, Pam & Jennifer for sharing Libbet and Scott’s wedding with us!

Here’s the bad news … we totally ran out of time today and couldn’t get more close-ups of Libbet’s wedding gown or the bridal party shots … the sweet images of her Dad when he first saw her, and the stunning lighting in the church … well, you’ve just got to see it to believe it! For these and so much more, head over to Jennifer’s blog!

The bride's gown is *beautiful.* I've never seen a bubble hem on a long dress before, but it "moves" amazingly!

I adore the dress - can you tell us who it is by?

  3. The floral pieces are exceptional and classic.

I LOVE how the bride and groom sat at a round table surrounded by family and friends. I am forever tired of the sweetheart or head table. Awesome they threw tradition out the window and just sat amongst their loved ones. My future hubby and I plan on doing the same!

I wish I could have a wedding dress like that... It's absolutely nice... Looking at this blog, the bridal gown has really caught my attention. It's so lovely and can't resist on looking at it more... =)

I'm getting married in a similar bubble hem dress made by Watters: http://watters.com/product.php?coll=brides&showid=723

Also , I know of another bubble hem gown by Jim Hjelm: http://www.jlmcouture.com/Jim-Hjelm/Bridal/Spring/2009/Style-8906

    Enjoy !!

Does anyone know what the fruit garlands are? They look like oranges, but they look smaller and more multi-hued than a typical orange. So pretty and would make such a lovely accent to a Spring, Summer or Fall wedding.

The fruit garlands look like clemintines to me.

What amazing photos. I love the romantic lighting.

Beautiful Bride, Beautiful Dress, Beautiful Wedding. I have the same linens for my wedding this July. They looked great in this wedding.

What an amazing wedding! Absolutely beautiful images too.

The shiny skinned fruit on the mantle look like persimmons. But I'm not sure if they're hardy enough to be used as decoration. You'd have to ask a florist type.

I love Meridian House (sigh). It's only 3 blocks from where I live; unfortunately it was out of my budget. Beautiful wedding!

I believe i've figured out what the mystery fruit on the fireplace is! Miniature Mandarian Oranges, just saw them at The Fresh Market last week.
