Real Wedding: Leah and Michael

From the gorgeous bride…

I am Leah Phillips, a graphic production person at Allure Magazine in New York. I was married to Michael Rafalowich, a native New Yorker and accomplished musician, in my home town of Victoria, BC, Canada on January 25th, 2009.

I am a girl who never thought much about getting married, and as such, had no real thoughts about what a wedding would “look like” when I suddenly, happily, found myself engaged in March of 2008. In fact, I didn’t even set a date or start planning until November of 2008 (upon the urging of my mother-in-law), at which time I found myself with a budget of $11,000 (we eventually pulled it all off for $8,500 and banked the change– how’s that for restraint in a recession!).

   I tried on a million dresses and nothing seemed right...then i saw this dress in a catalog and ordered it the next day! I loved it! My dress is currently at my parent's house out of state, and lately i have started to think that maybe I should have bought something more "weddingish," but after seeing your pics I am so excited again! You look beautiful!

   Where did you get you veil? I have been trying to find something similiar!
