Real Wedding: Kate and Sam

Ever since I stumbled upon Sylvie Gil’s gorgeous photography, I have become a little bit obsessed. Okay, a lot obsessed. The weddings that she features are just so beautiful, so thoughtfully designed. Today’s wedding took place on an Apple Farm in Northern, California and in a word…it’s magic.

My husband and I thought a lot about what we wanted the day to be like, and tried to create the details to support our vision of a relaxed and rustic, but still elegant, gathering for our friends and family.  We are both East Coasters and wanted some of the feel of a New England fall, even if we were in Napa!  Our location was perfect – a former apple farm on the side of a mountain, with the reception in a beautiful barn.

   The farm is actually a private home...I didn't know that when I first wrote about it. Such a bummer b/c it is soooo gorgeous.
