Love, love, love the reception space for today’s featured wedding! And the details…oh the details!

Food and Drinks – We entertain at our house often and really wanted the reception to feel like we were having friends over for a special meal. To achieve this feel we seated our guests at large tables and served comfort food “family style,” passing bowls of sides like mashed potatoes and grilled corn cut off the cob and bottles of wine. We served my favorite cocktail of champagne and PAMA pomegranate liquor and Trey’s favorite beer, Red Stripe, during the cocktail reception.
Children – we have 7 nieces and nephews between us and wanted them to feel special so we made baskets of candy and toys for them to enjoy during the reception – the boys seemed to enjoy the helicopter the most though!
Sundae Bar – Trey LOVES ice cream so we had a sundae bar as a late night treat instead of a groom’s cake. It was a big hit! And, our first dance was to Sara McLaughlin’s “Ice Cream”.
Airplanes – we wanted to incorporate airplanes into the details at the reception so we used touches like miniature diecast airplanes with the escort cards.
