Since we are featuring two really incredible DIY projects today (homemade vanilla favors and mediterranean inspired centerpieces), I thought that it would be the perfect time to feature this absolutely gorgeous, DIY inspired real wedding (DIY details to come a bit later)!
Mary-Kevin and Patrick were married this past July in La Jolla, California in an intimate (54 person) ceremony that took place by the ocean at Calumet Park with the reception held at the nearby Darlington House…a beautiful historic mansion with a lovely courtyard and rose garden.

From Mary-Kevin…
The rose garden served as our main source of inspiration for the eclectic, chic garden party we were envisioning. Being a true paper junkie, i knew exactly where to go for our invitations…Hello! Lucky here in san francisco. I had long admired their cherry blossom invitation suite since it was featured in Martha a couple of years ago…and I thought it laid the perfect foundation for our garden party aesthetic!! Another key vendor that I just love to death is Crystal Kluge, our incredible calligrapher…all of the lettering that you see in the photos is her amazing work! I truly feel that her work tied our whole wedding together.
So much more to come!
I'm helping a friend with her wedding and we're starting on the invitations soon, these give me some great ideas! I love the calligraphy!
Absolutely beautiful! So personal and so unique! I especially thought the scalloped sign for the parasols was a nice little touch. May I please ask where you found the oval scalloped card?
I also would love to know about the scalloped table number signs - they are so pretty. I also want to see more of the dress! Looks beautiful from the first shot
You can find them at Paper-Source.com. Here is an example...

Thank you Abby!!
Hi! What is the flower in your hair? You looked beautiful!
hi meghan -
it is a peony...at first, i thought it would be too large, but i ended up really happy with it!
best,
mary-kevin
oh...and meghan, thanks for your kind words!
I felt like Crystal Kluge's calligraphy recalled that of my favorite Paper Source stamps . . .it's her, isn't it?! In her portfolio, I saw the "Be Mine" on some Paper Source hearts, and I just know it's her.
Everything in your wedding was SO lovely and so clean and pure. Fabulous fabulous fabulous!
Thanks for choosing to display this Abby! And congratulations Mary-Kevin!
thanks again, kim!! the paper source stamp is the work of crystal...she has done a few projects for paper source!! love her!

mary-kevin

mary-kevin
Hey--where did you find the parasols. GREAT idea, by the way.
What a beautiful wedding! I love the table settings, espically the candles. Where did you find the tall glass holders the candles go in? Thanks!
Hi Mary-Kevin,
I absolutely love the design on your wedding. I've seen pictures of your wedding on ellenphotography.com. I love the simple elegance and the wood tables you used. I was looking around different event rentals but could not find the same tables. Can you direct me to your event rental source? I looked all over but could not find them. Thank-you!
