I’m totally making this for gifts….next year I found a good source for vanilla beans on Amazon – “Premium Bourbon-Madagascar Vanilla Beans – 1/2 lb. – Approx. 54 beans”. This will be just enough beans for two 1.75 liter bottles of vodka. I’m going to pour the vodka into 1/2 gallon glass jars, toss in the vanilla beans, and count down the days until it’s ready. Can’t wait to get started!

I have a question. I am at the end of my 60 days and I am ready to give these as gifts. I couldn’t seem to find if I take out the vanilla bean and strain it or do you keep the bean in forever? Thanks Love this idea BTW!! Merry Christmas!
