If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times (does that even make sense?)…the best weddings are those where the bride and groom really infuse their personality into the details. And today’s couple did just that. Every element had a meaning behind it, every detail was thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed to reflect their lives and their loves…

all of the amazing photographs were sent to us by the lovely and talented Sara France
From the bride…
Anthony was ridiculously picky about the flavors we chose for our adorable tall, skinny cake. He had his heart set on carrot cake, which his grandmother makes for him every holiday. I love pound cake, a taste I acquired from my mother. So we did both! Our cake stood on a pedestal cake plate from my large collection, and rather than purchasing a new cake servicer, we used my mother’s Tiffany server that has her initials on it. The cake was made by Sweet Cheeks Baking Co.
Our place cards were two-layered tags pinned onto hand made soap with crystal pins. My talented mother loves to make soap, so she made three different kinds for our guests to enjoy as favors and double as place cards.
LOVE! Oh and thanks to Jessica, I am now obsessed with Sweet Cheeks Baking Co, it’s a definite must have!

I LOVE that cake. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
The details of this wedding are beautiful and so well thought out. The cake is fantastic! I wish Sweet Cheeks Baking Co had a location on the east coast!
Adore this. PLEASE tell me you know where the candle holder came from. It's exactly what I've been looking high and low for to use on the cocktail tables at our wedding!!
I would also love to know where you got that candle holder, so cute!
OMG that cake...! Yuuuummmmy!
The candlesticks came from every corner of San Diego - Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target, Walmart, Michaels, etc. They were all different colors and I spray painted them all black. Labor of love...
Very thoughtful details! I have been searching for directions on how to make soap... I think it is such a lovely favor. Does your mother give out her "how to" make soap recipe? I would LOVE to do this... Thank you for sharing!
Where did the chandelier style votive holder come from?! I LOVE it!
Amazing wedding. Love that cake!
The cake is absolutely stunning!
The soap isnt too difficult to make, but takes some practice and special equipment. you can purchase hadmade soap in all sorts of colors (try etsy.com or google) and have the same effect.
