Michael Schuhmann is an unbelievable fine art photographer. We think you’ll agree …

Carol and Ahad’s wedding took place at the remarkable Cá d’Zan Mansion in Sarasota, Florida.

Just a real quick history lesson … The Cá d’Zan Mansion was the home of John & Mable Ringling. John Ringling, one of the five original circus kings of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baily Circus was quite the entrepreneur! The Florentine-style mansion, art collection and estate were bequeathed to the people of the state of Florida. Now, part of the Florida State University system, the Ringling estate has been restored to it’s original, magnificent condition. What an amazing wedding venue.

Art … at it’s best.
love the dress. Does anyone know who makes it?
wow....that's some fine photography!!
Wow! Gorgeous! It makes such a difference in wedding photography when you get to see an artist like Michael at work. I love the color palette of the architecture too...the cake reflects this so well. And I love that b/w shoe shot! And that gown...perfect fit for such a beautiful, petite bride.
Michael: what a beautiful event, gorgeous couple and stunning photos - capturing it all! It must have been difficult choosing the images to submit as I am positive you have so many more! Your art is to be appreciated!
Michael Schuhmann is a rare talent in the wedding industry and the Florida market is very fortunate to have him in it's backyard. Having documented weddings alongside Michael over several seasons it never ceases to amaze me the fresh ideas and passion Michael brings to every event for which he is retained. His work always puts a smile on my face and exceed expectations. It's a shame the general public has not yet seen the depth and breadth of Michael's fine art work. At a time when unfortunately the term "fine art" has lost it's currency in a world of too many "me too, fine art photographers", these wedding images demonstrate the stunning quality of the work Michael is able to deliver to those couples fortunate enough to retain his golden eye.
I grew up in Sarasota and have visited the Ringling Art Museum and Estate, along with the Ca' d'Zan countless times. In high school, I would climb over the walls to sneak into the ren faires they held on the grounds. I would take naps in the banyan trees, and fantasize about what it would have been like to live in the mansion in the better days. I am so jealous that these folks had their wedding there!
What a fun looking couple!

Definitely fine photography, and great subject matter! I feel fortunate to know this very special couple. They are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the out! Thanks for featuring them.

As the fortunate bride to be featured on these pages, I am honored to have had our special wedding day captured by Michael Schuhmann. I felt glamorous in my heart, but I will always have these special images to reflect that. The wonderful comments above & from those who have seen his work, attest to that. To me, finding the right groom was a dream come true. Having a wedding in a stunning setting such as the Ca d'Zan, and a gifted photographer to capture it perfectly, was truly icing on the cake. I have the deepest gratitude and fondest memories of this special time in my life.
*note: Dress by Lazaro & I, too, love the b&w lace & shoe photo.
WOW! Stunning photography. I love the vibrant colours and the bride's dress! Just the location is magnificent.

Perhaps one of the most unique and magical venues on the West Coast. I love filming wedding day films here. The backdrop is gorgeous! This wedding is beautiful. I wish we had been on hand to capture it on film!
