Wedding Dress Picks: Vera Wang
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! I spent the last couple of days looking through the blog to see what kind of a post we really needed and realized that it had been so long since I did a wedding dress feature! WAY too long, seeing that the dress is basically THE most important thing. Some would say.
So, I wanted to share my 2009 Fall/Spring picks from some of my favorite designer. Of course we have the heavy hitters like Vera and Oscar, but I wanted to bring in a few more affordable designers as well. So, today we are featuring my favorite wedding dresses from 8 different design houses. I would love to hear what YOUR favorites are, as well!

I have to admit, this isn’t my all time favorite collection…but some of the designs are definitely up there. I love the way that Vera brings a sense of modern femininity to every style. She knows that a girl wants to look as beautiful as she’s ever looked and she designs gowns that are all about the pretty. The colored sashes only add to the glamour and sophistication of each gown. In all candidness, you’ll never go wrong with Vera.

I feel like the gray sash is an effort to capitalize on Bride Wars. Granted it was supposed to be a Vera dress and you could deliver the "chicken or the egg" argument but to look at it seems simply commercial. I love the wrapped look of the top left, there's a japanese feel about it that offers a feeling of mystery and the hem on the bottom left is amazing.
I loooove the gray sash. Totally see your point though. But, I am still kind of obsessed with gray, so that probably explains my love. I also love that top left one, so chic. Agree with the hem comment!
I thought this collection was beautiful. I think it was named Forest Fantasia and there was something dreamy and ethereal about the gowns. I also liked the colored gowns especially those in shades of brown.
Definitely looking forward to the other collections you will be featuring.
I was just looking at this line this morning! I agree - not my favorite, however, it IS Vera. I like her use of color (more evident when viewing her entire line). I like the last dress with the grey sash a lot, however, does anyone think it looks the tiniest bit like a mummy wrap? No? Just me?
