Sleek, Chic, Modern Wedding At The Magnolia Hotel in Denver

Today’s wedding features two of SMP’s fabulous Little Black Book members, Paige Goodson with Colorado Wedding Company and Laura Esmond of L’amour de Vie Photography in Denver CO.

Alex and Josh were married in November on a sunny winter day in downtown Denver at The Magnolia Hotel. Their sleek, chic, modern wedding embraced their passions and personalities spot on!

Josh’s love of watches was incorporated into the details of the day!

The chuppa was placed in front of a candle-filled rock garden and adorned with orchids.

Alex and Josh infused their wedding day with special touches that delighted their guests. When Alex walked down the aisle toward Josh, it was to the melodic tones of a vibraphone!

The color palette kept to the modern simplicity of the affair: black, white, purple. And feathers were used as a whimsical touch thoughout …

The aisle was lined with large glass vases containing a single calla lilly, black stones and wrapped with black ribbon.

Cake toppers: a sneaker for Josh and a zebra-pump for Alex.

Alex’s wedding gown and the bridesmaid’s dresses were designed by Thread.

Florals by The Perfect Petal.

   I know you stated were the dress came from but what style is it? I don't see it on the website? :( I love, love, love it!

   I would love to know the style... I love the bow in the back, Was it an add on to the dress or part of the dress as well? Too many questions i know, but Love the dress!

   Thank you everyone- so glad you like the photos! Josh and Alex were amazing clients!! To answer some questions- Melissa Drayer (the owner of Thread) custom made the dress for Alex and the cool cufflink ring was made my Colin Scherba- a designer! Enjoy the phottos,and thank you!!

    Sarah - The I found the cuff links at Saks. I am not sure if they are still carrying them or not but if so they are amazing and come in a variety of different sizes. I checked the box they came in and the cuff links themselves but there are no signs of a brand name...sorry. :(

    itsbetterred - The shoes came from Bloomingdale's (assuming you are talking about my wife's shoes and not mine). :)

    Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful comments. Josh is right, we had the best day ever! We couldn't have done it with out all of our amazing friends and vendors!

    I think everyone's q's have been answered except Jessica's -- I got the veil at http://www.myweddingveil.com/ . Contact Melody. She was so great. I knew I wanted a birdcage veil but I wasn't sure I wanted to order it online so I looked around and kept looking and looking and couldn't find anything to my satisfaction. A little less than three weeks before the big day (as you can imagine I was freaking out about this time) I contacted Melody and she was so kind to help me find the perfect veil and also made sure it got to me with time to spare before the big day.     I know for those of you who are loving the cuff links, I would bet you could find some on Etsy...even if you have to request a custom order. This wedding was so chic and sophisticated, I love it!
