I’ve been to so many weddings where the flowers take center stage. And to be honest, it’s pretty great to see gorgeous blooms tucked in every corner, dripping off every detail. BUT, that type of decor isn’t always in the budget, especially these days. So today, we are chatting about centerpieces that are gorgeous, but in just about every example, they are also largely affordable or DIY-able.
One way to really trim your budget is to hop on the teeny-tiny vases trend. Tons of perfect little containers, whether they are clear, white or fabulously colored, filled with small bunches of your favorite stems.

These are some really good money-saving ideas... I never thought of the teeny, tiny vases. I may try it. :)
I die for the Jamili Garden vases!! I would love to figure out how to incorporate them into my wedding!
First and foremost, I've fallen in love with this blog. Abby does an amazing job of highlighting some of the most beautiful wedding ideas. As for today's latest post, I'm going for the exact look for my centerpieces. My wedding is in June at the Dallas Arboretum, so there is no need to go overboard with flowers. This is not only budget friendly, but very charming!
Abby, your blog is amazing! I have been coming back almost every day since I got engaged. Only 5 weeks to go until the big day and these pictures have finalised my plans to have herbs on the tables.
Ours is very much a DIY wedding and we are going to have mini herb gardens on all the tables in beautiful pots that I plan to paint to match our colour scheme, then they will double up as gifts for key people.
I love the Jamali Gardens website. The vases are beautiful and I am definitely using them in my wedding! Thanks for mentioning it!
I ordered all of my flowers from www.wholeblossoms.com and had them delivered. Definitely saved compared to buying from a local supermarket or florist! My fiance and I made our own centerpeices based off pictures and they turned out beautifully! I had some leftover flowers and used them to make bouquets and other arrangements. I think any DIY bride can easily make her own arrangements AND keep it beautiful.
How I love the idea of collecting vases, bottles, and containers to use as centerpieces. I have been doing this for years in my home when entertaining. When I lived in PA I could go out into the garden and greenhouse to find single blooms, berries, and branches and create collections of seasonal items. Arrangements don't have to be big to create a big impact. I have been turning my brides onto this to help them save money. I will take the time to help them create their look and then sell them flowers in by the bunch at greatly reduced prices to help them create a unique design. We spend time collecting containers from flea markets and second hand stores that we even rent to the bride. When looking for containers find things that have great detail and work together as a collection. If you have a theme follow though with that theme. Keep it simple and stick to one or two colors for the best impact overall.
