Real Wedding: Julia and Brian

January 8th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 9 comments

It just occurred to me that we have been doing real weddings pretty much every day lately. And it’s been pretty great…so I figure, why change a good thing?

One of SMP’s very favorite photographers, Myrtle and Marjoram, sent us today’s featured wedding and based on some of the weddings they’ve sent us in the past, it’s not surprise that this one is absolutely beautiful…

This wedding reminds me a little bit of yesterday’s featured affair…a modern sensibility with touches of pure charm. The yellow is such a happy hue, but paired with the sophistication of black and white, it’s contemporary, it’s smart, it’s simply beautiful.

So much more to come!

I think I'm in love with her dress.

Me too, and currently looking for something like that! Anyone know the designer/style?

Can't wait to see thee rest of this one. I am planning a wedding in these exact colors. The Bride wants it to be classic and Sophisticated without being likened to a "Bumble Bee". This is perfect!

  4. Her dress is amazing! I'm also planning a wedding with a buttercup yellow, but we are using slate grey & coral as an accent... I'll post the design board on my blog soon! www.blisslistkc.com

I second everyone above. Who made that dress? I love it!

  6. The back of her dress is stunning.

This wedding looks simple and yet so memorable. This is great inspiration for brides today that are planning a platinum styled affair on a DIY budget.

Lindsey and Megan: I posted this in another Julia and Brian series, but thought I'd post it here just in case you didn't see! It's Vera, style 1G137. I know for a fact you can find it at Alexia's Bridal (Cary, NC) or Gabrielle's Bridal (Los Gatos, CA). I purchased it recently at one of the above shops, but browsing around for it on the internet, it seems pretty scarce (not many pictures or links of it). Hope this helps!
