And finally, perhaps my all time favorite thing about 2008 was the gorgeous real weddings that we featured. Whether the events were sweet and sophisticated, like this stunning Lisa Vorce affair…

…elegant and understated like this stunningly simple table arrangement shot by Lisa Lefkowitz…

Or just plain gorgeous like this wedding by James Abel...

…there were so many gorgeous weddings, so many perfect receptions that inspired brides all over the world to create magazine worthy weddings for themselves regardless of their budget. I love that.

I would love to see more budget friendly ideas!
I love that first cake topper, so rustic yet whimsical. I love your site, such great amazing ideas to get the brain juices flowing. I also love the cake that looks like it's wrapped in sack cloth, so unique!
bouquet, flower and centerpiece ideas....and budget friendly ideas can never go wrong!
I'm looking for more cross cultural ideas--flowers, make up, dresses, etc.
Just beautiful shots above - looking forward to seeing more beautiful weddings in 2009!
What a lovely site! Congratulations!!
I wish I were in America to share these lovely scenes (I am in chilly England!). I also came across a wonderful site by a photographer in Virgina, which is equally uplifting and might be of interest to other visitors to your lovely site :-)

Happy New Year!
Thanks for all the gorgeous pics and posts :-)
I can't get over how cute your website is! I just love coming to see what you write about and what you have to share.
The details of these weddings are beautiful. I believe those little details make the guests feel more cared for and more special like the single flower inserted with the menu card or that floral arrangement inconspicuously hanging from the ceiling. That brown cake surrounded by apples in the second wedding is really unique. I would like to see more real weddings on your site as I have enjoyed reading about the previous ones.
I love the rustic, charming weddings a lot! Just sent in my email for the giveaway too!
I love the beautiful, simplicity of the flower arrangements! What a gorgeous wedding.
I think it's interesting that the photographers get all the credit for capturing the beauty of these weddings when it's clearly the unmentioned and uncredited florists and other decor folks who are clearly making the photos worth taking. Just a thought.
I agree with Lily - to an extent. It sure is a team effort when all is said and done: the catering staff, the décor folks and florists AND the photographer. Synergy creates amazing photos like that.
I actually credit whoever sends me the wedding...whether it's a photographer or a planner or a florist or an invitation designer, etc. If they are kind enough to send additional credits, I always try to mention. It is incredibly time consuming to document all of the details for every wedding...but I try my best!
I would like to see more centerpiece ideas!! :)
I have really enjoyed your site, I love seeing so many "out of the box weddings" Keep up the good work.
I love your website! Fantastic pictures. I am most impressed with this red-orange-ish wedding you have here. It's gorgeous! Happy days!
