Real Wedding: Paloma and Scott, III

Today’s real wedding is pure bliss. Before I dive into the ridiculously gorgeous wedding reception, I thought this next set of images was so incredibly beautiful. Each one filled to the brim with style, with warmth and of course, with love!

From Paloma…

Organizing my wedding from thousands of miles away was not easy, but luckily I had fantastic vendors who more than exceeded my expectations in every way possible!  Our wedding wasn’t exactly a budget wedding, but by choosing to have it on a Thursday we were able to afford and choose vendors and a venue that were top quality, and whom we probably couldn’t have afforded otherwise.

We asked our guests to stay on or near the Sonoma Square.  This made it easy for everyone to meet up over the week. Scott & I wanted to spend as much time with our guests as possible, so we urged everyone to arrive on the Sunday before. By doing this, we were able to have four days of activities!

We really wanted to include all of our guests in as much as possible. On Monday we had our bachelor and bachelorette parties, which were all day events.  All the female guests were invited to the bachelorette, and all the male guests to the bachelor. On Tuesday, we organized wine tasting trips in limousines for our guests.  Each limo had it’s own itinerary, which meant that our guests got to visit wineries all over Napa and Sonoma. Wednesday was our casual rehearsal dinner at the private patio of the Swiss Hotel.  We invited all 86 guests to attend, and it was a great way to catch up with our families and friends!

More to come!

absolutely exquisite! this is one of my favorite vineyards in wine country and was the first stop on our honeymoon. we've been to viansa a few times and always thought it would be the PERFECT spot for a wedding... and these pictures far exceeded our expectations. almost makes me wish that we had chosen a destination to wine country instead...

if anyone is considering a wedding or honeymoon to wine country, i have to suggest a few amazing places to stay:

    1. the carneros inn, a plumpjack winery resort & spa, in napa valley. this place is the stuff that pottery barn and restoration hardware catalogs were made of! breathtaking scenery, incredible food and immenities. we started off our trip here so that we could relax and not feel guilty about lounging around the resort. expensive, but so well worth it!

    2. the farmhouse inn; forestville, russian river valley. the drive up there alone is worth it, canopies of trees along the highway, gorgeous scenery. the inn itself is so charming and decadent. sauna, hot tub and fireplace in everyroom. turndown service includes freshly baked cookies and milk. gourmet s'more bar at the reception desk. and the breakfasts each morning, one was more delicious than the next and the best part is they send you home with the recipes!

    3. any of the four sisters inns properties, although our favorite is maison fleurie; yountville, napa valley. ivy covered and looks like it belongs in the french countryside. freshly cooked breakfast every morning, wine and snacks in the afternoon, free sodas and waters and the best is the location: right behind the intoxicating bouchon bakery. just imagine waking up to the smell of fresh bread and yummy pasteries in the morning!
