We are all about the Little Black Book Blog this week here on SMP, so we are showcasing the work of our Little Black Book members like mad!
I am sure that you all know about my love affair with Chewing the Cud (that sounds funny). Well, with this particular design, takes my love to an all new level…

From Viola…
Earlier this year, Iris and Travis asked for my help to come up with a concept for their wedding. After hearing their story of how they met, I knew the big idea was born!
Iris and Travis first met at a bar called “Butter”. Butter: a deceptively simple-looking golden lump that adds a sweet, nutty aromatic smell and unctuous flavor to the most uninspired foods and awakens the senses. For centuries, butter has been the gourmands faithful ally, the secret ingredient to good food, a symbol of good living.
Iris and Travis are both food lovers so we thought it apt to take this basic ingredient as our inspiration to concoct the beginnings of a delicious wedding.
Save-the-Date tea towels also included the text: “Party till the cows come home.” These tea towels were the first announcements of the event so we wanted them to make an impression. Not only were they relevant to the butter concept, I wanted to design something that was also eco-friendly and reusable.
The invitations came from the chewing the cud signature collection. The willow tree icon was indicative of their outdoor location and a symbol of joy. These invitations were letterpress printed on 100% tree-free paper using soy-based inks.
More to come from Chewing the Cud!
This is such a cute blog full of so many wonderful ideas!
LOVE love LOVE the tea towels! What a great idea!
Where did you get the tea towels from? I have searched the web and could not find "Save The Date" tea towels like this. I love them! Could you please let me know where they are from and who printed them? Thank you...
